we can’t sue them - they do state that they have 2 month time frame to upload the scores
but this is absolutely ridiculous
and i thought i hated collegeboard

the way they charge obscene amounts of money, their horrendous service… a clear demonstration of the ****ed up oligopoly the standardized testing world is
i really feel as though college applicants are SERIOUSLY exploited

and i REALLY need to see my scores before i submit my applications

i just called them and listened to blithering "i don’t know"s for 2 minutes

Has anyone recieved their scores today?
Has anyone heard why they are delayed? It can’t be because of the holidays- I,m sure they weren’t surprised by the holiday!

Majority of them won’t be up until February 4th is what ACT told me over the phone today. See my call thread if you want to do something about it.

im pretty sure they’re doing this on purpose b/c
-they want us to spend the extra money to send our past scores
-they know we have to send our scores soon b/c of upcoming deadlines
-and enough ppl will be paranoid that they dont have their scores yet (causing them to send previous scores) than those that wont be
and its the “holidays” so they can use that as an excuse to not have most of the scores up

So… I"m a senior too, whose future depends on the release of this last test score.
But, if colleges aren’t notified of this score delay from petitions, then the least we can do is state the resaon for our missing score in the additional information section right??
If enough people indicate they’re missing ACT scores, then the schools will at least know something’s up.

I suggest you call ACT. It’s the most we can do at this point because all colleges I call are closed until after break.

And it really shouldn’t be common app colleges that’s problematic for you guys because most of them have their deadlines in late January. It’s the colleges with December ACT deadlines that wanted scores before the 2011 year starts that worry me very much for scholarship and admission purposes.

The really sad part about all of this is that half the people on this rollercoaster ride of anxiety will open up their scores and realize that they did worse than before which will make the heartbreak even more traumatizing.

What he said could very well be true. Since they have not released a majority of peoples’ scores yet, they have time until February to release the scores (as they have indicated on their websites). However, will this happen? Most likely not. I would expect most of the scores to be released either next Wednesday or Friday.
