The "I Got in without a 3.7+ GPA" club

@newjerseygirl98 My dad owns two businesses and is into real state in the Beverly Hills area which helps a lot. My mom is an anesthesiologist and has a business on the side.

My son’s a level 5 and was just admitted to UChicago. High SATs and ACTs, though.

I’m a level 5 with a 3.6 unweighted and I got into Vassar EDI last week. I am a double legacy though so I’m sure that helped me a bit

3.6 unweighted and a 26 ACT. I got matched to Oberlin college through QuestBridge.

@itsreallymia for CMU what was his other stats?

@sdl0625

1240 SAT

Being that he is an Art major, his portfolio definitely carried the most weight. He has great essays, good ECs and amazing recommendations. He also Attended Pre-College for Game Design (Art) at CMU and received excellent feedback from his professors. His interview went really well. His passion and skill in the Arts were woven throughout every part of his application.

Deleted.

@paintingflowers Congratulations! Your enthusiasm for your interests and the passion with which you pursued them gave you a stage to shine on! Your experiences will be with you much longer than an over the top gpa or high score ever would!
