I just totally got rejected from Wesleyan, Middlebury, and Williams.

I just totally have rejections waiting for me at Amherst, Bowdoin, Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Brown.

I really hate this process. How are seventeen year olds supposed to just take this and let it not have any impact on their self worth?

Rejected:
Bard
Wesleyan
Whitman

Waitlisted:
Cornell College
Grinnell

Accepted:
Reed
DePauw

Whitman and Grinnell sure did hurt.

I know they aren’t rejections, but I was just waitlisted at Northwestern and UVA. Both schools have very large waitlists and only take 100 or so kids each year, so it’s essentially a rejection.

This process is so weird.

Add BU to my list.

At least I’ve received all my replies already. :)

Rejected
MIT
Uchicago
Amherst
Williams
Middlebury.

I am intl applicant and yes an applicant with a huge amount of aid demand in my application. Ppl, prayers are essentially needed!!

International student needing lots of FA. And now I need to get off these waitlists (at least one of them…)

Admitted: Mount Holyoke

Waitlist: Reed, Vassar, Connecticut College, Colby, Middlebury

Rejected: Oberlin, Smith, Lafayette, Colgate, Amherst, Bates, Williams, Grinnell

Still waiting for Trinity (CT), Yale, Brown (hahaaa, I’m so going to be rejected)

I just totally did get those rejections in the mail from Amherst and Bowdoin.

Awesome!!!

I’ll play along… except I’m not living the rejection nightmare, but the waitlist one…

in:
Georgetown (EA)
Notre Dame (EA)
Colby

Waitlisted: (all in a row!..)
Williams (2nd Choice)
Middlebury (1st Choice)
Davidson
Duke

fail.
can’t wait for amherst and bowdoin today! haha

in at:

Rejected at:

waiting for Georgetown,Brown,Columbia,Tufts! no hope at all… i’ll predict 2 wtl and 2 rejects!!

GOOD LUCK! WE ARE ALMOST DONE!!!YAY!!!

can we all please note the irony in that i just received two more “waitlists” at both Amherst and Bowdoin…

ugh.

In at:
University of Scranton
Fordham University
St. Joseph’s University
Smith College
Mt. Holyoke College
Villanova University
Bryn Mawr College

Rejected:
Boston College

Waitlisted:
Bates College (This was the hardest for me to swallow.)

Waiting On:
Barnard College (I feel a rejection coming on.)
College of the Holy Cross

^I’m so sorry about Bates!
Which college would you attend at this point?

I’m leaning towards Bryn Mawr, which I am extremely happy with. It’s just that I really love Maine and Bates seemed like such a good fit for me. Oh well. I think I’ll accept a spot on the waitlist though.

rejected from Cal, it hurts.
while my friend who got caught cheating twice and was suspended got in.

Updated List

In: Santa Clara, George Washington, University of Washington

Out: Boston College, UIUC

My D is happy as can be, despite a bucket of rejections. Who cares, as long as you received acceptances? If you don’t like where you were accepted, why did you apply in the first place?

Rejected: Amherst, Swarthmore, Wesleyan (Brown and Cornell coming next week)

Waitlisted: Lehigh

Accepted: Oberlin, Dickinson, Muhlenberg, Ursinus, Penn State-University Park

A big reach (Oberlin), a slight reach (Dickinson) and three matches! How can one be unhappy?

Never apply to safeties. You really don’t want to go, so it’s not worth the trouble.

Finally got one acceptance after 6 rejections… then comes 2 more rejections!! AHHH!!! 8 rejections already! Hate being international student!

Rejected from Pomona and Pitzer college. Depressing. sigh

Rejected from Middlebury (painful, but not altogether unexpected) and Stanford (was a legacy, but am also not qualified to go).

In waitlist helllll from Colby (I’m surprised about this. Thought I was in for sure.) and Northwestern.

Expecting more rejections from Brown, Cornell, and Bowdoin–but PRAYING TO GOD for an acceptance. D:!
