Got rejected from middlebury!!

and expecting the same from: carleton and colgate!

I got rejected from Amherst just a couple minutes ago, but Oberlin has accepted me with very good financial/merit aid, so I’m not too upset! Probably will be going there!

Just got waitlisted at BU. Damn…

Rejected from Pitzer, Scripps, Oberlin, Occidental, and probably Lewis and Clark.
Fail.

Long ago, when Gerry Ford was president and I was applying to college, I had my two rejections on the same day I had my only acceptance. I remember it as one of the best days of my life. (It didn’t hurt that cute girl from my high school called, and it turned out we were going to the same college. We lasted four and half years. Admissions committees are hardly the last word on your personal happiness.)

Wherever you go, good experiences await you.

i have been waitlisted and rejected. I am freaking out! what do I do if I don’t get any acceptances? help! is there any college that is still allowing applications for fall 2009? I have only two more schools to find out if I get in, and I have a bad feeling…

Accepted:
UCR
UCI
UCSB
Bryn Mawr
Mount Holyoke

Rejected:
UCLA
UCB
UCD
USC
and I’m waiting to be rejected from Barnard and Wellesley. I feel so average and rejected. It’s okay…I’ve got graduate school, besides, I know I’m good enough, just not on paper.:)

I guess I’ll post a total list.

Accepted: Oberlin, Kenyon, SUNY Binghamton
Waitlisted: Northwestern, Bates
Rejected: Amherst, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Wesleyan, Williams
Pending: Cornell (College of Human Ecology), Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia

HA

i love how this post picked up a freakishly large surge of momentum in the past week.

^^^ Rebanne, it’ll pick up more momentum on Tuesday :)

Yeah, I’m waiting on my NYU rejection.

I wish I even had a chance.

I guess I’ll post my decisions on here, too.
On Tuesday, I’ll be sure to post my Ivy “decisions” (“decision” meaning rejections/waitlists)

Accepted: Williams (!!!), SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Geneseo, Brandeis
Waitlisted: Amherst (Williams/Amherst, wth?)
Rejected: Duke (Fie!)

Waiting on:
Cornell (College of Human Ecology, got deferred ED), Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Yale, and Tufts

To those who think one rejection foretells another:
I was deferred by Cornell and accepted by Williams. It’s all random, a lot of luck is involved, and each school evaluates applicants differently. DO NOT LOSE FAITH. I lost faith after getting deferred from Cornell (and the Duke rejection didn’t help much), in the admissions process and myself. And then, my first choice school (only below Yale, but Yale’s going to reject me SO fast) goes ahead and accepts me! What a confidence booster that was, and what a lesson to me that life can seem sucky for a while, and then become awesome within a second.

end of “inspirational” a.k.a. corny^the max post

Rejected from Pomona and waitlisted at Claremont McKenna, but that’s okay since I got into Cal and UCLA (and two other UCs).

So far, all my rejections have been from my state of California:
UCLA
CSU-LB
USC

Funny, eh?

i just totally got rejected from berkeley.

and this is my first post on CC after lurking for so long. haha.

Weeee…waiting for my USC rejection.

Ahh, I’ve already been rejected by USC. It hurts but I got into Bryn Mawr and Mount Holyoke. What can I say?
