I’m taking the hardest course schedule at my hs (which will include 9 aps by the end of senior year, and the rest are honors).

I think it depends on the person, as far as whether or not you can do it.

For instance, I’m an auditory learner (either that or i just happen to know lots…lol) so i pay attention in class, and don’t really study much. Can you learn the information during class?

Second, are you interested in history (if yes, then you naturally learn it much easier than if you’re bored stiff). History is very time consuming (at the ap level) if you don’t enjoy it in the classroom- lots of info to “memorize”

In my classes, I’m known as the kid who gets A’s, but doesn’t study. In reality, i just try to learn stuff while I’m in the building, so i can ***** off outside of it.

Also, I’ve found that kids who take notes, take away less in the class. I don’t take notes (everything they tell you should be in the book if you need it later, or a friend probably wrote it down). Instead i listen, and think about what the teacher is teaching. That way I’m learning and not just writing stuff down.

I’ll have taken 12 APs (everything else is honors), and yet there are some people who will have taken more.

I am not taking a Foreign Language AP, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics C (I am taking B), AP Computer Science, or AP Calc BC (I’m taking AB).
But the majority of those are science/math related anyway and I am interested in history so I doubt it matters.

I actually have a friend who will have taken all of those.

i haven’t taken ALL of the APs my school offers because some of these subjects i’ll never pursue as a career. however i think i can answer ur questions.

“Is it impossible to maintain?”
absolutely not, extra work only motivated me to work faster and do better

“Will you have a social life?”
not really

“How many hours of work will have everyday?”
i studied for about 5+ hrs everyday

“And finally, is it worth it?”
yes
and btw I took a total of 11 aps in my high school yrs

yeah i went to junior high school for freshman year. there arent any aps until high school (10-12).

i took one sophomore year, three junior year, and none senior year (scheduling problems). my school offers about 15 or so, but most of them are the same period, unfortunately.

It’s impossible at my school. The most you can take in one year without schedule conflict is 5 in senior year. The most in junior is 4 (I’m taking 3 as a Junior) During sophomore year, the most you can take is two.

So at my school, the most you can take total is 11.

My school technically doesn’t offer any APs freshman year but if you took 9th grade history in middle school then you were allowed to take AP World as a freshman. The class was mostly sophomores though.

So at my school it doesn’t really matter what year you are but rather what level you are at in the curriculum.

Like my friend took AP Stats as a freshman and AP Calc BC as a sophomore because she was 3 years ahead in math. People on a regular track take AP stats as seniors and people on a 1year adv track (like me) take it as a Junior and Calc as a senior.
