North: For Physics, I had say that you pay attention to the theoritical problems in Electricity, that was where I got stumped, but I got them in the end. ![]()
For Maths, I have nothing to say. You should get through it without much problems, just pay attention to the time alloted. Use the calculator wisely and you should be fine. ![]()
Hope you feel well, the waiting time outside the Exam. centres tend to be quite long. ;)

I have Barron’s for both ![]()
People say that Barron’s is tougher compared to the actual test, but then it keeps you prepared for anything so :)

@mrinal, I feel glad that we just did electricity in grand detail at school, so much so that I just had to give it a cursory glance of remembrance ![]()
Im tending to worry more about maths, coz I haven’t gotten as much practice in as I wanted.

do you know how to do exponential regression on the graphing calc? :)

Good luck everyone! Hopefully, after tomorrow, you’ll have one less thing to worry about.

Hey guys, didn’t see this page before hand.

I’m Anvesh (or anvesh95), a class of 2017er. ![]()
I’m looking forward to major in physics.

Nice to meet you all!

Crystal, barrons is the best stuff for
SAT2 prep.

thanks tizil :)

@Anvesh hi 5 physics major too.

@north and rew thanks for replying to question! :)

Writing USH tomorrow.

Good luck all for tomorrow.

Tizil, once you get settled in UCB, tell me about EVERYTHING. (it’ll also make me strive harder for a reputed college)

Also, guys, how much impact does "undecided major " have on the application? As an international from
India? I heard i gave a negative impression in the people.

So one quick question how many of you think that graphic cal is helpful during the MATH 2 SAT… and how many of you have/will be using the grap cal. in the exam?

Duplicate Post. :p

^What is it Pratyush??
@north: I don’t have a graph calculator. What is the question??

@rew it usually gives a negative impression as far as i have heard for the international students but you know most of the americans are usually undecided about there majour even after getting admin in the colleges… So you cant say … I would say it depends person to person and uni to uni…

@ crystal31, I borrowed one from a friend of mine, and it does help in functions.
However if you are used tp cbse/isc you wont even feel the difference of not using a graphing calc. An 800 is possible without it.

@ mrinal pg 167 barrons, eg 7.
If you don’t have the book, basically the population of a city for the past 5 years is shown, and if the years - 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990 are given, u have to find the population in 1965.
They’ve explained some scatterplot method.

Aaah.

^That was the same question in my Maths II Subject test. The data must be different though.

And, just post the exact question here.

Also mrinal, you had posted before a link on anvesh’s chance thread of a list of colleges that are need blind for us citizens.

I have a Green card, that makes me a permanent resident of the united states. So in turn, I know that Stanford specifically considers me as a domestic applicant, coz it says so on their website, but does it apply to the other colleges as well?

If so, * huge relief off shoulder*

@xNorth, i am studying from the cbse board
thanks for the reply :))

aaah tiring work typing from phone.

The decennial population of Centre City for the past 5 decades is shown in the table below
use exponential regression to estimate the 1965 population.

Year population
1950. 48000
1960. 72000
1970. 95000
1980. 123000
1990. 165000
