<p>Are application deadlines this August?</p>
<p>NO, the EA deadlines are in Late November and the RD deadlines are in Early January.</p>
<p>The college applications open on the 1st of August. The deadline for submission varies according to the type of application - ED 1, ED 2 or RD.</p>
<p>So, have any of you started writing your Common App and/or supplementary essays? I keep planning and procrastinating.

<p>@confused, I’ve just been reading about it on the web and watching videos on YouTube to familiarize myself with the whole application process, including the essay. I’ve started to sit down, and just rant on a word document about what I’d like on my essay. I guess that’s the first step, right? :P</p>

1st August is the date when CommonApp is releasing their new application format. So be sure to download it ASAP, and start working on it.
I personally haven’t yet written on any essay, though I want to. @SahilC, which videos did you watch for getting an idea about the app process?
