The Indian Thread (TiT) # 14

i’ve no idea…

i asked a fren to join the site… he put in my nick as the referrer. so i got 1 referral! dunno of wut use it is though.

neways…think its 1AM … there too in nepal…so better catch some sleep…

Gud nite … seen u after a long time On the Indian thread…cool

Yup. Ditto for Swarthmore and Harvey Mudd which are both very very difficult to get into. (I know that Harvey Mudd atleast takes only 2 intls with finaid every year)

wow …impressive resume.
aint u the same guy who gave d sat2 with me in oct

Sucharita is right…Mudd takes in only 2 intls with finaid and so in no way is it a safety.
And I think the counsellor who suggested Brown as a safety needs some counselling himself.

Oh!laila…this is the INDIAN THREAD so there’s no question whether anyone is applying to MIT. The question is whether there’s anyone not applying to MIT.

And whats the fuss with board %. I mean if you have over 85% you are in the competitive pool (remember this is US and not INDIA and there each and every freakin mark does not indicate that you are more intelligent than your counterpart).
I have decoded what aakash said here on the forum.
you remember what he said about “we indians (in Indian Boards) are already at a disadvantage”

and one more thing…you are not going to get anything out of him.

btw I am leaving for Delhi today. so Sachit and Saatvik I hope to meet you at UPenn info session.

much of my reason was strengthened by the stupid board % discussion going on here and also I’ll speak to Merc about it. and then come out with a foolproof theory.

smartmind

i dont quite get what you mean by 20+ colleges

if you mean the total cost of going to college , well then my answer is yes.

there may still be 2 or 3 colleges that i apply to who are less than 20 but going to those wont be my primary aim.

im only just gonna start filling up the applications, my college terminals have just gotten over.
dont think i can make it for ED anywhere.

prachi

yes its me
the same guy who gave you answer 50

oops ! did i say it out too loud ? is there anyone here who can report it to collegeboard ?

lol

hey rishabh,

CC is way popular, and TiT is the most popular thread. So wont be surprised to see CollegeBoard checkin this thread out once in a while. ;)

So better keep those things quiet.

anyone else coming to the UPenn conf ???

4 answers [yay]
anyone whose giving their sats…hunt for a good neighbour if u aint prepared…lol

are all you guys here aiming for engineering courses ?
anyone thinking of doing pure science and then research after that… ?

thank god we are on college CONFIDENTIAL
phew

or not so confidential as I’m finding out here

As I AM FINDING out too :(

??? What happened?

about that board % thing, anything above 85 is good… but the state boards are supposed to be at a very big disadvantage (a friend of mine in the admission office at pton told me this… But at the end of the day, if u have a good application, i dont think any of these really matter.

oh, i am sorry, but this has become a habit -
