<p>But given its taking 10 to 14 days for my acceptance packages to reach me, I’d rather get a quick email… You can even check online which I’m doing regularly</p>

Aid at GD? of course… A friend of mine got into cornell with 80% aid… Another guy got into Stanford (early) with 50% aid…</p>
<p>GD goenka is a small school… not as big as DPS…</p>
<p>i would expect a large percentage of students in GD applying abroad becuase most of them possess a strong financial background…</p>
<p>no… u’d be surprised… i know only 6 or 7 students have applied abroad this year from GD…
I know all of them… and what they have gotten into so far :)</p>
<p>The remaining are mainly trying in India… AIEE etc… Some are trying for IIT, and at least several are expected to get into IIT this year. The guy who has been topping FITJEE is from Goenka…</p>
<p>Regarding financial position, some are good, some are bad… To give you an example of the contrast, I have one friend who’s dad owns a 7 start hotel in Goa, and who got into Gatech last year… I have another friend who’s father is the COO of Hutch, India (he’s applied to UT austin btw)… and I have another friend who’s mother/father are small time lawyers and she got into Cornell with 80% aid :)</p>
