<p>I’ve applied to Stanford, CMU, UIUC, GeorgiaTech, UTAustin, Cornell, UCLA, UCB…</p>

<p>I got into gatech, utaustin and UIUC so far… waiting on CMU or Stanford :)</p>

<p>nope, I have got 1950 on SAT 1 and I dont have any hook. I have just applied to see how the rejection letters, containing my name, of different universities look like :D</p>

<p>maybe the college also gets bored of letting students see their rejection letters and instead send you an acceptance one… </p>

<p>AND THIS SEEMS DUE TO THE FINAID PART FOR US INTERNATIONALS… they are mentioning there wont be any finaid for students accepted off waitlist for intels…:(:(
well seems like what all happened in previous years is really true for waitlist at wustl… what abt others</p>

<p>1st of all… No sorry’s… this is something i have learnt over sum yrs that when u loose sumthing or are not successful at anything dont feel bad at all…</p>

<p>Life is not one moment of being happy or sad … and is much more… i too look at it very differently and am really not that hurt with this… I have learnt to enjoy the rejections or wait listing or anything of this sort and not feel sorry about these things… well i guess this is what takes away a lot of spontaneity from you but imparts within a solidity that helps you go through anything with gr8 confidence…</p>

<p>Well its like a race… where you are a competitor… some win … some dont… .you dont feel sorry at not winning… coz u know the reason already .( somebody was better than you at least if u were not gud enough or anything .) So you take it positive and practice, …</p>

<p>This is my policy and feeling not to console at all… and not express solitude or condolence at anything… nothing here is what it seems…its all how we feel abt … i think one should rather get up straight without any sad face and continue with stuff and not be sorrowful… </p>

<p>To become inert to a limited extent to your emotions can always help overcome great extremities of emotions ( this includes gr8 achievement i have had to gr8 failures i have had…)</p>

<p>Also well … knowing fully well that this isn’t the end of the road , why at all should i be sad… well to categorize it metaphorically for anyone i wud say</p>

<p>Humans are like platinum metal keys… they are worth their value more than gold but they are not useful or successful everywhere… . you try out the wrong combination of this key in a lock and the key seems to be pretty useless… so basically unless u find that perfect lock where u match yourself and ur worth is most valued, you wont get the best…
so well not having got the correct combination doesn’t mean we should go in for underestimating the value of the key…</p>

<p>I know i have gone a bit too much in it… but what i know and feel is not what i can say in words but all i know is that…one as to be confident about himself, love himself, believe and stay calm at all situations… </p>

<p>Things work out automatically then…</p>

<p>i know half things in this post wont even make sense … but whatever … my views… </p>
