<p>actually a lot of factsin that email forward have been fabricated… the 38% at NASA is a lie for sure… there was another email forward doing the rounds disproving this email… </p>

<p>also about MIT… of course their endowment is 5-6 billion wtvr… everyone knows that.</p>

<p>what i had originally commented on was someones (cant remember who) claim that they had a yearly increase to their endowment by a billion dollars. thats totally incorrect.</p>

<p>also vampiro, their “budget” isnt a billion dollars… its wayyyy less than that (as is the case with all univs)</p>

<p>cos although they have huge endowments, 90% of the endowments are just re invested…</p>

<p>i think Duke has like a 6-7 billion dollar endowment as well… which is pretty good for us cos we’re like only 70 years old…as compared to the ivy’s etc…</p>
