For me, games are all about pumping adrenaline. I find HL2 pretty scary at times, which is why I enjoy playing it. Although I’m definitely gonna get totally freaked out, I desperately wanna play F.E.A.R. Its suppossed to be the freakiest FPS, probably game, of all time. Nothing’s as satisfying as completing a scary FPS.

Also, I’m planning of getting a fully upgraded macbook pro (minus the 2.16GHz processor). That means 2GB of RAM, plus 7200rpm harddisk.

i downloaded fear but i just can’t play 2 games at a time…will install it after nfs…however i highly doubt its gonno run smoothly…i just have 512 ram and that game is gonno rip my geforce 6600gt!!

I currently have a 256MB graphics card, 1 GB RAM, and 2 GHz processor, and the FEAR Demo was lagging horribly on my comp, so I only played like the first 5 minutes.

I think modern games have gotten out of hand…
Look at Prince of Persia or OneMustFall:2097 … they run fast on a 486DX4, 100 MHz computer and provide the same, if not more, excitement than any other. Look at Unreal Tournament (original). It ran fine with Pentium MMX 233 MHz, in-built graphics card, 32 MB RAM! I don’t what the hell is up with such games which can’t even run properly on a 2 gig 1 GB machine with a geforce mx.

And josie maran’s ownership is mine, sorry dudes. Check old TiT for more comparisons and ratings.

True, but u’ll have to use windows when gaming (Unless you’re playing some mac-based game)

Lol. Merc: something else - mid last year, when I was checking out Battlefield 2 (third in the series), it said that my graphics card was not supported :(.

oh dude i was stuck at the same dilemma!!..performance wise nothing beats the XPS for sure…but then its big n heavy…thats why i am sticking with mac…

if y’all want a ‘scary’ FPS try the Silent Hill series or the Alone in the Dark series…
do any of y’all happen to play strategy games such as Warcraft Frozen Throne or Warcraft DOTA…?

is it possible to play online games such as counter-strike and ut on internet servers in college… or can you only play on LAN games with people within the same college?

Hey guys Cornell and Penn sent a letter to my school…stating the number of applicants from the school…and our outcomes…and requesting a verification and final transcript…No other college has sent anything though…
So is verification just sending the final transcript to them…to verify that the prior transcript was legal…or is this something else???I am confused…and well my school is no help because they have never done this sort of thing before…

Of course. But it’s WAY better to play against people in your own dorm / on the campus network. Then you get hardly any latency, and you also know many participants personally so you can discuss last night’s game on sat morning breakfast table :)
