SM

so anirudh… whats up these days…

SM

I got my I 20 today…

btw are we targeting 7000 posts for this one…

Sorry for changing the topic but here goes…
I watched Rang De Basanti a few weeks back and this q has been nagging me:
The message RDB sends to the youth is ****ed up. U can’t go killing every corrupt man in the country. There will be noone left, including me and you.
Instead, Swades sent out a better message I thought. Get educated, and help with knowledge, not firearms.

What do you guys think?

Dude i dont think you got the message…the basic theme of the movie was ‘A generation awakens’…if u notice and analyse you will see that it revolves around the comparison of british raaj with the raaj of the Bhura’s (or Indian politics)…the movies makes the comparison of the five-some with Bhagat Singh’s group…
The reason behind killing the politician was not one to tell the youth to go out and kill everyone but to open their and "sarkaar’s " eyes…(‘inhein hilane ke liye ek dhamaka chahiye’)…
If u are an analytical person you will see that their was a beautiful message in the end…The guys discuss life in ‘JAIL’ they never thought they would be killed arbitrarily…this ending itself shows us that nothing has changed since independence…
In 1947 we were fighting against hippocracy (not Whites) and even today we are under hippocracy (just that the Bhuri chamdi has taken over)…Nothing has changed…the only difference betweent then and now is that now there are not even rebelions to this injustice…The message (if one ever got across to you) was simply great…Swades is no doubt good…but this movie has completely changed atleast my outlook and my friends…
