<p>I’m sorry, spacepirate… I withdrew my Princeton app because you ED’d there and thought about withdrawing MIT as well but I was tempted to see if I’d get in. I feel bad now. :(</p>
<p>You shouldn’t. He was compared with the rest of the Indians where as you were in the US pool. I expected you to get in. Bas was the shocker. I guess one should never judge someone from their virtual-spamming-self. :D</p>

<p>I’m a bit torn up, to be honest. 
But still, there are other colleges and other opportunities (God, I sound cheesy), and I do have a safety after all (scholarship to UNSW is more or less confirmed), so I’m not going to worry.</p>
<p>Except I totally am.</p>
<p>I’ve posted a thread on the MIT forum, some solace, I hope.</p>
<p>Know Noldo, that there are others like you. This is a sad day for all of us. But we’ll make it to tomorrow, and to the day after, and we’ll live…</p>

<p>I was happy about my decision till my mom quietly tells me that she’s disappointed. Like most Indians, MIT=Only Good US Univ for her.</p>
<p>Which is probably why 2000 of us apply every year. :)</p>
