<p>@Lakshya - After graduation, you are allowed to work 1 year on OPT(Optional Practical Training) i.e. without an H1B or a greencard. If you take an off campus job during Uni, then the 1year allowed on OPT gets reduced by the amount of off-campus job time. So I was wondering whether an off campus internship would have the same effect as an off campus job.</p>

<p>@sid_galt: Almost all internships are off-campus. I don’t think they have an impact on the OPT limit. But I’m not too sure about it. Don’t take my word for it.</p>
