wow it sounds beautiful there, america is like that too, but the best place in america is Disneyland :)

@indianinsaudi r u applying college this year too?

yeah, go 2014ers, gary 7 got me here, i was lurking on the other parts (namely SAT, and than college sub sections), i applied to some tough nuts, namely princeton, its my dream.
But i am hoping for Cornell or Rice. I also applied to Cooper,(hey its free), Urbana, UT Austin, Columbia(Totally Confused, idk if i shd go if i get in), Berkeley (most prbly wont go there- its bankrupt :p) and i already heard back from Georgia Tech(In), so i have a good fallback.!! how about you??

@indiansaudi: haha Unfortunately not. But from where I live, you can see a river, an airport a few miles away, a few temples, plenty of green hills and a few indistinguishable mountains behind those hills.(and you won’t need binoculars for all of this ;))
@FP: I think Disneyland more than makes up for the lack of beautiful scenery. ;)

@indiansaudi good luck:) at the colleges you are applying too, and hope you get into princeton
@ccprofile disneyland is beautiful, have you ever visited the states?

@FP: No, not yet. But, hopefully, I will this fall. :)

@ccp i hope you do it. where did you all apply to? east coast or west coast

@FP: aaaw. Thanks.
I didn’t really look at the location while applying. The only thing that I did check was whether or not it snowed in those places. :p

oh cool, thats going to be east coast like new york or voston and etc, it snows like crazy over there,the west doesnt that much unless it like freezing cold :)

^I don’t mind the freezing cold at all. :o The more snow the better. ;)

cool, snow is awesome!

Applying only places with snow?! Crazy. I’ve never seen snow ever before… and here I am looking at four years of nothing but snow. lol

@wisdom snow snow!

@wisdom: SNOW SNOW SNOW! :p

Hi all! Did someone announce the death of this thread? Wow!

@ccp I don’t think I have ever met a Nepali before. What is your native language? Does it resemble any Indian language?

My roots are from southern part of India where Tipu once ruled but I have lived in US for most of my life - Ohio, California, Texas … I am here on CC to learn more about college entrance and sometimes just to pass time. I am very impressed by how well prepared you all are for getting into college here in US.

hey tippu no time no talk, i know the international people are way more prepared than us

@fp not much time - too much work. no school today, thanks to m l king.

lol i dont know i am having a conflict of identities, idk who to empathise with, the indians in america or indians in india, sigh.!!! I go to an american school, never lived in states, spent a month in toronto, all my teachers are american, most of my friends are american and my counselor is american, so i have had all the help i needed, but i have indian nationality and have lived all my life in saudi!! CONFUSED… WHo am I!?? Indian, Saudi or American…!!

Snow is depressing, the only way im going to NE is if i get into an ivy, thats the only way.

@tippu r all your finals over?
