The Indian Thread (TiT) #18

Hey Rumjhum, Janata is very worried after hearing about ur 3rd interview with Pton. I consulted Ms. Lynne Truss and she is as confused as v r. Mr. Common Sense tells me that the 3 interviews u had so far were all for different universities and the 3rd 1 was for Pton. I hope Mr. CS izz right. Could u please clarify and help lower our BP? Thanks. Let us all chant “All Izz Well” before going to bed. Good night.

LOL TIPPU!!
@anurag- My friend had arranged an interview with an alumini in Lucknow, but then the person was told not to interview her, and a phone interview was arranged with someone in the US coz apparently, that’s done with the scarier applicants(she got into M,S,8 ivies, CM). In the metros, you always have alumini to interview candidates personally. So if an alumini interview is replaced with a phone one, I’d expect the person to be pretty good.

Ok… I’d never previously heard of someone getting into every single Ivy…

She’s the only one I know who applied to 8/8 :stuck_out_tongue: Besides, the truth is so many of the 8/8ers do ED(Tetris for instance) that we never get to see them. Luckily, she didn’t :P

HAHAHHAH sorry for the confusion guys (:
That was definitely my 3rd interview OVERALL and my first and last for Princeton!

Pink Floyd <3

Hi guys =]

@ Rumjhum I have no personal interest in Princeton but I am curious about 2 interviews. How was the second interview different from first? Anyway, it looks like you have great chance there and I am happy for you.

Hello world.

uhh no, I definitely only had ONE INTERVIEW FOR PRINCETON.
hahaha i am not good at getting my thoughts across in typing at all! =P

@Wisdom: so yea, Pink Floyd kinda makes my day, every single day.

gary, you know very well that I wasn’t planning to apply to 8 Ivies!

My apologies, I should have added, most 8/8ers are usually very passionate and focused and end up EDing or applying to selected ives(tetris for instance)

O.o
I still don’t like you.

@ gary: what were this girl’s stats like? the one who got into every single place…

Pretty darn amazing.

SAT I-2390
SAT II 2390 or 80
90% in 11th
essays- 1 was technically poor and the other was sound. Both were very personal.
And she had done some community service(Nothing fancy, totally ‘service’ types)
Worked with Vajpayee for BJP’s election campaign.
Gave a few on campus interviews LOL
Took full advantage of CMS’s international opportunities(She was in the biggest branch in Lucknow, while mine is a fairly small one)
Hasn’t come below 3rd in ANY contest till date o.O

For the record, she chose Penn(M&T) and is currently deferring a semester to ‘hone her skills’.
And those of you who read my commonapp essay in the FB group, its the same girl :P

I like her definition of “honing her skills” :)

She isn’t as cool as tetris though. Like, not even close.

…Just saying. :p

You’re such an awesome clandestine lover :p

(Not to detract anything from her gary. She’s kinda awesome as well. And by now you should know what I mean when I say “kinda”)

Gosh, you didn’t even put kinda next to my adjective! Think how awesome of a clandestine lover I really am then!

(And yeah gary, I do like the sound of her.)

Oh yes. You’re way too awesome for even a “kinda.”
