<p>My mom was terribly impressed with Rollins’ safety measures. She wants me to go there now. She and my dad looked at all the places to stay on the brochure and discussed where they’d stay and everything. It was kind of depressing, haha.</p>

<p>Haha, my parents will just camp out at my uncle’s place about 60 miles from Brown. And I refuse to let my mom serially text me “ARE YOU OK? ARE YOU ALIVE?” messages during orientation!</p>
<p>Ahhhhh, I’d let my mom do that if I was going to Amherst. I’d let her do ANYTHING if I got into Amherst. I’d let ANYONE do anything if I got into Amherst.</p>
<p>I’d just sit on my bed with a silly grin for like a week after.</p>

<p>My mom has gone on a shopping spree to buy me clothes that I’ll need in the States. She gave me a call to ask me how cold it gets and then called me again to ask how thick the socks should be. Now she’s angry at me coz apparently “thick enough” is not a good answer and now I’ll freeze in the winter.</p>
<p>I told my parents I’ll shop on my own as it gets colder. My dad was all “ZOMG WILL YOU BE OK?” My mom has more faith in my shopping skills.</p>
<p>My mom has absolutely no faith in my shopping skills. She gave money to get myself a couple pairs of jeans, I blew it up on books, video games and a very,very large sundae. Another time I went to get myself a jacket for winter, I ended up spending most of the money on buying a special edition DVD of Snow White for my little sister who looked at the DVD and asked for it, she started crying and I got her the DVD. I am soo taken in by sob stories :).</p>
