the infamous "oops"

I’m sure you are all familiar with that moment where you realize that oops, i just screwed something up… could be work, home, school, etc…

thought it might make for a nice discussion.

I try to be a perfectionist, so when I find myself saying oops… a few cuss words may come along with it!!! Then, depending on the level of oopsness, I may feel horrrible for awhile!

also, how do you deal with the “oops” from other people? I feel like everyone is bound to screw up somewhere… but if it’s the same person oopsing every day… it gets to be a bit old. Is there a good way to bring this up without making the other person feel bad or mad?

In the past, I have sometimes told a person that " I used to do that too, until I…"
and there I make my suggestion. It seems a diplomatic way to word it, rather than just saying “try this, dummy!”

There are only 2 options how to deal with it.
Fix it if it is fixable.
Do not fix it, if it is not fixable.
I do not know what else could be done. I do not see another option. Everybody makes mistakes in their lives. there are no exceptions.

I guess there could be a 3rd option:
not fix it, even if it is fixable, so the repeated oops are exposed.
Of course, the 3rd option comes with risks that must be weighed carefully.

^ Well, if you do not fix, then somebody else has to fix it. It is an option, but does not sound like a fair one.
