The Interview Thread for SCEAers!

I think just the rating (1-9 for Yale?), and a sheet with comments, which will help the admissions people try to see your personality.

@Banksy: It is very possible that both interviewers and Yale admissions officers would check this thread, which is why I would not post location or date-specific information about an interview…

I doubt it, I mean for what purpose?
I mean some of the interviewers do, they even post occasionally ;), but I don’t see how that would be particularly detrimental, unless you give too much personal information or something - how could they know for sure it’s you, they might jeopardize someone else.

Besides that, the officers have enough on their plates, especially with a few checking facebook and stuff now (Stanford and other places). I know they check on here sometimes, but sincerely doubt they’d read an interview description and try to extrapolate/research your interview in any way.

Does Stanford check everybody’s?

I would say that the interviews were NOT due on the 1st because I just had mine on the 2nd, and my interviewer said she was sending it in on the 3rd.

^
They were due on the 1st, though I’m sure there are always exceptions.

Nono, according to the article they’ve started checking completely random ones. Many people have high privacy settings though, so it won’t tell them anything.
It’s mainly supposed to deter lying, and I guess inappropriate online stuff.

It’s probably asked of the alumni to turn it in by then. That being said, they wouldn’t hurt an applicant for an alumni’s fault, so they’d accept it and consider it still, 's long as it wasn’t on Dec. 14th or anything haha

I had my interview on December 4th. I think internationals get late interview requests, right?

The reports are due by 12/1, but there are a couple of days of leeway for alumni who turn in the reports late.

Hey ccuser 18

My son is presently a junior at Yale. His Yale interview/interviewer was a NIGHTMARE! She showed up 1 hour late, but said my son had the wrong time ( even though she left a voice mail stating otherwise) She hardly let me son talk…she was all flustered and upset… took 2-3 phone calls while “interviewing” my son. Luckily this didn’t hamper our son’s chances. Don’t sweat the interview. I have to believe it carried very little weight if any at all. Good luck to you.

I was interviewed on December 4th.

^ Do you happen to be from Toronto, Canada?

^
CreeeEEeeEeEEEepy post. Haha.

Also a “CreeeEEeeEeEEEepy” post.

I’m not trying to stalk anyone. I’m just wondering because I didn’t get an interview and I live around there.

Wow, did a mod delete the post above mine? Now it looks like I was calling Owlehn creepy.

Can the same mod delete my post too? Thanks.

^
Lol :stuck_out_tongue:
Haha, that’s funny.

@linda
I know, I was just kidding.

^^CreeEEeeEEEEPPpey post.

I’m kinda glad i didn’t get the yale interview… I did two 20mn interviews for another college today and it was pretty bad…

I got contacted for my Yale interview really late. I had my interview one day before the SCEA interview report submission deadline. Does anyone think that this indicates my chances of admission? I mean, if they had already looked at my application and rejected me, then they wouldn’t have offered me an interview, right? Or was it just luck of the draw that I got a really late interview?
