Hi guys!! ( I seem really bubbly and kinda dumb in my threads but I promise i’m not dumb haha) So I had my taft interview yesterday and it went absolutely amazing. I talked about how I really would benefit from the close tight knit community and the small student to teacher ratio and how I want to be pushed to my best I want to reach my full poetential- and I thought I did well because we talked for a whole hour and everyone who went in for their interview went after me and came back before me so we just talked for forever. And then my parents went in and they told me that the first thing he said before they could talk was that he wants to see me a part of their school and i’m the ideal student they see in their culture and that I fit perfectly and if money were the problem he would make it go away ( and get this, he was the financial aid director… PERFECT!! ) and then my tour guide and I HIT IT OFF. we were talking like we’d been best friends forever and we talked the whole time and joked and we were laughing and it was amazing I loved her. ) and then we saw peter berg on the tour ( totally fangirled ) and the. when we finished The track coach and cross country coach gave me their card the volleyball and golf coach gave me her card and mr.hoffman gave me his card and my tour guide gave me her card and it seemed like it went so well i’m so happy. what’s your guys take on this
Wishing you the best@Stuarttprep!
Question to tag onto this thread: Do you think it’s an advantage to interview in January, so the AO’s have you in their recent memory?
I don’t really see the point of this thread. Clearly you had a great interview and tour.
Good Luck!
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Wishing you the best.
Read absolutely nothing into their actions. They were being polite and nice - that’s all
I don’t think a ~14 y/o applicant will have insight on this, and I trust you aren’t looking to hijack this thread by asking other users to weigh in.
It’s a valid question, but one that deserves a new thread if really interested. I will weigh in on my opinion - no, the timing does not offer an advantage.
agree. Read nothing into it. They say this to many great candidates and can’t take them all. They need hooked candidates and they have to take some legacy candidates. Don’t get your hopes up but its okay to stay positive.
Interviews are a small portion of the application so while it seems like yours was a great one, I wouldn’t read much into it.
