I sold the 440 straddle in aapl…

A little dangerous…

sold the 3/22 jpm 49 puts = .34

Ok…jpm…

I might be less aggressive on selling goog puts going forward…

I am not doing anything with hlf…

Just out of curiosity:

Couldn’t you hedge xiv using vxx options. For example, you could hedge your long xiv position with vxx calls.

This is as good as any reason to go long stocks: [Mila Kunis Rotates From Cash to Stocks - Yahoo! Finance](http://finance.yahoo.com/news/mila-kunis-rotates-cash-stocks-112538935.html)

EMM1, It is not a perfect hedge…

You can lose on both…if you buy calls…

And if you sell calls… You can lose there too…

You should try 1 lots…

Even backtesters eventually put on some position…

EMM1… Curiosity? you can ask whatever you want…or state any opinion you want…

The one thing I do like about about these products is they are inefficient. Inefficiency does lead to profit potential…

I am retired. I don’t want to work that hard or sweat that much…unless

it is at the gym.
I already gained a pound this morning eating while I am trading…At least I am eating grapes. :)

There are opportunites.

When something goes up 150 percent in a year… Somebody is making money…

I think Mila Kunis is very hot and many young people should be heavily invested in stocks.

“I already gained a pound this morning eating while I am trading…At least I am eating grapes”

LOL - this is a joke in our house. I have a cousin who is overweight and a diabetic who says his eating problem is that he eats too many grapes.

This is probably the great rotation that CNBC speaks of on a daily basis—the rotation of celebrities as the new CNBC co-hosts. They had Mila and Regis recently. I’m waiting for Jon Hamm. And yes, Mila is really pretty–prettier than Felicity.

XONE is now higher than DDD.

No…not prettier than Felicity…but it is close… :)

Doct,

Your cousin has to get the grapes out of the house…they are addicting…

Here’s the GOOG chart that I was describing earlier. I’m using the term flag loosely as the tail end seems to dip further than it should. At any rate, this chart should provide some pause for GOOG traders.

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/850/googg.jpg

My wife used to give me a bowl of grapes for dessert. I asked her to stop doing that recently - I didn’t really want the sugar hit on a regular basis. That’s what happens when you track all of your food - you get an objective view of how each food item affects your daily nutrition.

Nice chart.

I see what you are saying.

Hmmmm…
Samsung was hit last night.

“That’s what happens when you track all of your food - you get an objective view of how each food item affects your daily nutrition.”

Absolutely.

BCE, can you explain the flag to me? Why is the first flag indicating an add’l 100 pts and the 2nd flag add’l 200 pts? I would think it’s another leg higher because the volume on the 2nd flag is lighter compared to the first flag.

The measured move is another 200 points if you consider the second flag a first flag (ignore the first one).

Guessing time.

New s&p highs at the close.

I also bought 4/20 jpm 43 calls = 7.15

Woah what’s going on in this thread, I almost forgot I was on CC… reminds me of /r/investing or /r/wallstreetbets

Latitude, was the title of this thread misleading? Lol

Doct, good luck

The recent GOOG flag does not mean another 200 points up as far as I can tell. The prior flag was when GOOG hit its 123 moving average which has been a good support level. Jan 22 was earnings as well. Next earnings report is in April.
