50 DMA and 28.3% Fib Retracement support on GOOG is about $788. I’m not sure if I want to play it at this time. AAPL and GOOG both going down at the same time bugs me. I have a price target in mind for AAPL which is obvious on the chart. I’ll try to post GOOG and AAPL charts tonight.

What do you have in mind for the price target for Apple?

I sold 4/5 goog 760 puts. I would be very surprised if it gets to that in a week.

$437 for the upper trendline and $431 for the lower trendline. I’d rather see the lower trendline as the support is stronger.

Someone showed me a 30-minute chart with trendline support at $443 which is about where it is now. I questioned him on his chart because it doesn’t line up with my daily chart. I am not a member of stockcharts and can’t do 30-minute charts.

I covered the aapl puts I sold today and the 420 puts for losses.

I don’t like the way aapl is trading. I don’t want to think about it over the weekend…

Thanks for the chart. We can see from the chart that trend lines can be drawn all over the place until there are no longer trend lines.

My opinion… There is a large seller of stock. Probably doesn’t want to own the stock after this qtr. I can see a print lower today near the close. Jmo.

I don’t see any other trendlines of interest in the chart. Do you see any?

The volume bars tell a different story. Volume is higher on up days than on down days. A partial explanation for that is the Passover earlier this week and the Easter long weekend this week and the Passover early next week. But there has been more buying strength than selling strength for the last two weeks.

my opinion - AAPL price action today is ugly!! LOL There are so many forces going on, especially on an option expiration day, sellers of stock, long holders forced out, call owners forced out, short put positions forced out (BTW, all of those comments/observations are so obvious as to be meaningless, pretty much the same as saying, “more sellers than buyers”) and probably some quarter end window dressing of the type where AAPL has performed so poorly this year portfolio managers don’t want to show it on their balance sheets. (Down 17% for the quarter, while the DOW is up around 10%).

Volatility is so low I am thinking of constructing a straddle at the close - will buy some SPY call options and also buy some SDS, with a delta weighted long bias.

NJres, do you have a problem with what I wrote?

I’m surprised at the divergence between the q’s and goog and aapl. I’m diligently watching the goog 3/28 790 puts that I sold.

Yup, me too. I wonder what in the $compq is pulling the horse today.

BTW, ORCL is making a good stab at a recovery. So is MFC which I also sold.

I have been trying to buy the aapl 430 puts that expire today for a penny for an hour…

Picked up a small position in TJX. This is more of an investment than a trade but it could turn into a trade.

I do not like the NKE chart at the moment. I will just keep an eye on it.

BTW, for you gamblers out there, CMG has made a nice recovery.

When do goog options stop trading - 4 or 4:15?

dstark, no not at all. I am always developing market models in my head to try to explain price action. There could well be one very large seller of AAPL today, motivated by quarter end or price action alone, but even if it is one large seller initiating the price action he sure as heck has forced a lot of smaller players!

I think 4…

Okay, this stuff in AAPL and GOOG do look options related. They looked pinned while other stocks are doing decently.

Aapl is not pinned yet…
