<p>Your friend’s time frame is short. Getting stopped out is part of the game. He likes leverage too. </p>
<p>Last I looked aapl was slightly below 420. </p>
<p>I didn’t like the premium on fb options so I didn’t sell much. Looks like that might be a good thing. </p>
<p>The stock drop doesn’t bother me. The commodity price drop was bigger. Oil got hit pretty good. </p>
<p>We have had all this Qe and some of these commodity prices are not looking that good.
Silver was hammered too.</p>
<p>When Qe ends, I don’t see why stocks are not going to drop like these commodity prices…</p>

<p>I bought the emini s and p at 1544 last night after hours. I’m planning on selling covered calls on the futures once it goes back up a bit.</p>
<p>Another friend of mine bought yesterday’s close and dumped pre-market. He’s been doing the shoot-and-run thing. Not in the market that much - just in and out on high-probability success plays.</p>
<p>A friend of mine bought the lows and sold the highs, but he always does that.</p>
<p>Interesting (amazing?) to me that after yesterday’s big selloff and today’s 50% approximate recovery I am seeing some names making new highs, like KO (huge), KMB, JNJ.</p>
<p>Well… I will confess. I don’t buy the lows and sell the highs. </p>
<p>I guess I typed in the wrong password or user name on the Schwab website 3 times. Now I can’t sign in until I get home. </p>
<p>So now, I not only don’t buy the lows and sell the highs, but I am incapable of signing onto a website.</p>
<p>I’m a trend-follower and that means that I can’t buy the low and sell the high. Instead, I wait for the turn to confirm and then go in. I try to capture 50% of the move. I’m no hero!</p>
<p>It looks like David Tepper made $2.2 Billion last year. That is slightly more than what dstark made last year. Come on dstark, we expect you to beat Tepper this year! :)</p>

<p>Intel: PC chip sales down around 7% (well better than PC sales down 14%). Server sales up around 6%. Margins were awful for the past quarter but they are reiterating guidance in the low-60s. What I want to know is how? Sounds like they are really counting on Haswell to be a home-run. I personally don’t see it but they see the shipping numbers - is there demand out there that I don’t see? Also, it looks like Microsoft is going to bring back desktop mode in Windows 8.1.</p>
