Soros…buys a stake in jcp…

[Soros reports 7.9 percent stake in Penney, shares rise](http://m.yahoo.com/w/legobpengine/finance/news/soros-reports-7-9-percent-203913077.html?.b=news%2F&.cf3=&.cf4=3&.cf5=Reuters&.cf6=%2Fnews%2F&.h=NEWS&.ts=1366932532&.intl=us&.lang=en)

Nke did not have new weekly options today. I also didn’t see intuit have any either…or Safeway… Bummer

Oops nke does… Wth? I couldn’t bring them up at Schwab earlier…

Now I have to check intu…

Edit… Intu does not have weeklys and nke didn’t trade much…

Thanks for mentioning INTU. I looked at their chart and it looked interesting. Then I looked down and too the right and saw what happened today. -11.06%. Ouch!

For me, that’s an economic indicator. People aren’t springing for TurboTax - they’re going with cheaper of free alternatives or maybe there are fewer people working and so fewer people filing returns or paying for TurboTax. My personal feeling is that TurboTax finds me stuff that the free programs don’t and their investment imports save me a ton of time. It seems like there are a lot of other people that don’t have those things on their returns or they don’t care about them.

There is an article in Bloomberg that central banks are buying stocks. Not the Fed. Other countries Central banks. I can’t provide a link.

Israel’s central bank has bought some US equities using etfs. The banks are looking for yield.

It is amazing how unfree the markets are throughout the world.

I don’t know the volume the central banks are doing but the paltry overall volume has a teeny tiny less public participation than I thought.

Anyway… Interesting story.

Looks like Soros did a pretty good job of keeping this quiet. I don’t really see anything in the chart that is screaming “buy!”.

Why is this not a free market? If some central bank wants to make money for their country, why can’t they buy US or Australian or Canadian equities? I buy Canadian stocks because I expect better returns on lower risk than US stocks - if I could find something comparable in the US, I’d buy it so that I wouldn’t have to deal with foreign taxes.

BTW, TJX is doing reasonably well. Looks like it might go into a trading range (rectangle) for a while. Those things drive traders nuts but they’re good for patient investors.

Soros did a good job.

I have tried to trade jcp options and I have made the best option markets in the world and traded nothing. Lol horrible option stock if you want to trade anything decent.

Investor sentiment has small changes…

I absolutely despise Soros even though he is coming to my rescue and bailing me out of my JCP short puts. I am break even at $14.50.

Qcom is slightly above my strike price of 62.5. If it closes slightly below, I may just want to get assigned. This is a good price.

Why would you hate Soros? Think about it before you answer. What does Soros stand for that you hate?

And yeah…he bailed you out…

Yeah doct…

Sometimes we get assigned on something and the stock reverses…

I am short a lot of aapl puts. Most expire tomorrow.

I will sell more. I am not worried.

I would like to sell some goog puts since earnings are out, but I don’t like the premiums in goog…

should have bought more iau than the 10 contracts.

Are you rubbing it in my face? Lol

Its still very early to be doing that!

Lol…

Wow on amzn. I’m watching fast money from 5:00 PM and amzn was up after the close and its earnings. At 8:00 PM, it was down 8.8.

Yeah…

Of course it is a 270 dollar stock…

No chatter about amzn here either…

Tomorrow - I may sell some amzn puts and I may buy some slv calls

Ok…good luck tomorrow
