Looks like I should have sold WFR today. It closed at resistance. Support is at $4.90. I should sell it and wait for it to go back to the lower trend-line. I should always check the charts! This was just a fun purchase that a bunch of other traders have been watching for a long time.

I like the article comparing 1999-2013. I also like the article about selling stocks. I sell anyway because that is my personality…but I don’t disagree with the author.

I think it is obvious that this isn’t 1999. But hey…it is only May. :)

I want the fed to start cutting back on qe starting in Jun.
I was told yesterday by a bond guy that some of the behavior during the years 2005-2007 is starting to repeat. Just starting, so there is time to calm things down. Do I think the fed will slow things down in Jun? Not at this second.

I’d prefer to wait for Bay Trail myself. Clover Trail is probably comparable to the current ARM chips out there while Bay Trail will provide leadership. The interesting thing about Intel Atom chips in tablets is their potential ability to run Windows 8. It would be very cool to have a tablet that could boot to either operating system.

The thing I remember most about in 1999 was to make sure every single program and function out there is Y2K compliant. Then some people complained in 2000 that the Y2K panic was much ado about nothing. Well, duh, we did our jobs to make sure there was no or very little disruption.

I mentioned WDAY last December along with DDD. Then XONE Feb I think during its IPO. There is another cloud play I like but I’m waiting for it to pullback so I’m mum about it hoping there will be no bids.

The thing I remember most about late 1999 and early 2000 is the human genome craze (remember Sequenom, Celera, etc?) and then Al Gore making his infamous announcement that popped the genomics bubble. :)
