<p>Let me see, the day before the May 14th Tepper Tuesday, spy closed at 1633.77 and shot up to a high of 1687 on May 22. SPY couldn’t hold 1635 then 1620 and now QQQ, DIA, SPY, IWM, XLF are below May 14th close. SPY must hold 1611. Probably next support is 1593.</p>
<p>Sounds like the mother of one of my BILs. She left them a huge inheritance and she was disabled but she could really trade options.</p>

<p>Karen is selling strangles…out of the money puts and calls in size. Karen did not turn 100,000 or 600,000 into 41 million. It is not totally clear how much she has undermanagement. Sounds like she doubled her money. </p>
<p>She is putting on trades that have a probability of success about 95 percent of the time. She makes a little 95 percent of the time and over time that adds up… It takes a lot of capital to do what she is doing. I don’t know what kind of margin her firm is giving her but I think the guy
off the street would have to put up quite a bit of capital lowering his or her potential returns.</p>
<p>If the market moves more than two standard deviations in two months
she is going to lose and maybe lose a lot. </p>

<p>It sounds like she claims to have made 80 mill and out of that 41 million was profit. She now owns her own company and employs 6 people. Perhaps it’s a publicity stunt trying to sell the $20k class. There is no mention of her company or her full name but wouldn’t be surprised that that could also appeal to her exclusive market.</p>

<p>The world is full of people who claimed that I used this strategy and quickly made a bazillion dollars so you can to. Since I’ve discovered that my “blink” is not very good, I prefer to follow relatively simple strategies that I can understand and (ideally) have been backtested for a lot more than three years. (Yeah, I know–my XIV strategy does not meet that backtesting standard. But once in a while, things just make sense on the numbers).</p>
