The company is already public and the company is selling more shares to the public.

PHM has been around a long time. Yoku did a secondary after its IPO.

PHM has been around a long time. Yoku did a secondary after its IPO.

I agree PHM is not IPO, it’s Pulte Homes. I was just following the traders, they took the stocks down, I saw the trend and I shorted with them. Dumb luck, I know :D

Luck is underrated.

It’s been a week (well, 1 week and 6 hours) and the forex experiement has gone pretty well so far. I’m about $1000 up. But it’s been very volatile, running anywhere between $800 down and this $1000 up.

Current positions are:
1.8 long on USDJPY
1.8 short on EURUSD
0.9 long on EURCHF

Apparently EURCHF is a weird pair in that there’s a price floor at 1.20000 set by the Swiss National Bank. It’s at 1.21423 so now too far from that floor, I guess that’s why it’s long.

Just closed EURUSD. Made about 12 pips on it, so about $200 (don’t have my client in front of me to see exact amount). Trade was only open for an hour and 15 minutes or so, so that’s pretty nice.

Just sold MU and INTC for a nice profit. MU has been on a tear up 150%+ since it’s all time low, I’ve only made 50% for 8 months when I’ve first heard about it from the Einhorn guy on cnbc and decided to jump in for fun. I made much quicker money from INTC, almost 70-80%, not bad for a month of trading.

You made 70 to 80 percent in intc in one month? What did you do?

Or you just traded it this month?

I traded options, just a small amount though. All trades are closed.

:)…

I sold naked puts. :D

I do that all the time. :)

I am short 100 shares of intc from a trade I did last year. Should have covered that. :)

On another account I had purchased INTC shares than sold covered calls and also was getting dividend yield. That account so far has returned 30%, it’s also a small account and all the shared were called away, but I’m happy that money was made. But the problem is I have to wait for a few months and patience is not my virtue. :D

Why do you have to wait?

Like I said… I do like that strategy.

Wait for the call option to expire, I don’t have to pay to close out the option. My option is usually a few months long and slightly higher than the price I paid for so I don’t have to watch it all the time and I give it time to go up. What is your strategy? monthly option?

I dont have a specfic time…

I may short weeklys…or I may go out longer…

I am short some spy puts that dont expire until dec.

I dont have much on right now.

It does depend on the stock and what type of account you are trading from.

The stock market is like a yoyo, one day it’s up and the next day it’s down. Bungee jumping came to mind.
I was checking one stock DWA(DreamWorks) and has been down nicely from the high, what a missed opportunity that I didn’t short it. It was on the news that it is has one of the highest PE ratio, like in the 1000, IIRC.

Gonna pretend someone cares:

On my forex signal, currently down $700 in equity. Record high was about $1700 up on Wednesday afternoon, record low was about $1300 down this morning. Currently on 0.3 lots long EURUSD, 1.8 lots long GBPUSD, 2.7 lots long USDJPY. I am inclined to stop the signal and add my own SL and TP for GBPUSD and USDJPY on Sunday around 6pm Central, couple hours after market open. Probably TP for USDJPY at 101.5 and SL at 101.25. For GBP USD TP at 1.711, SL at 1.7065, but I may change those numbers after some more research. I might give GBPUSD some more room but I want to keep it tight for USDJPY. Specifically, I’m not optimistic about USDJPY staying above 101 next week based on what I’ve read. I think the guy is just “married to his positions” and doesn’t want to take a loss on any trade, which may necessitate me getting involved sometimes when situations look against his positions. Lesson learned there.

Vlad, are you trading for yourself, who is the guy that is just “married to his positions”? Inquiry mind wants to know.:D

Dr. Google. I’m following a signal, so what I’ve done is configured my client to copy someone’s trades as he does them.
