The investment..speculation, out right gambling thread

But when you can buy his stuff retail for 19.99, i question his insight…

Maybe if you have his track record, I’ll buy your stuff for 19.99

What is his track record?

Where can we see his track record?

Heck, i provide for free.
Why would a guy sell his ideas retail? Seriously, i would like to hear why…

I think he also has a column in Forbes or Fortune, i wonder if they provide his track record of his picks?

I have nothing against Mark Fisher. I kind of like him.

The guy owns a clearing firm. More trades equals more money.

Mark? I thought we were talking about Ken?

No…Mark…I can’t wait to read about his trading record. His real trading record.

I would bet it is pretty good…most years…

But I want to see it.

My bosses accountant is an accountant for a lot of professional traders. The accountant said this is one of the worst years for traders he has ever seen…and he has been around 30 years. Nobody is making any money. This was a few weeks ago…market might be up a couple of percent since then.

These markets that are down big one day…up big the next…down big then up big…not good for traders…

And the lack of public participation…well I have talked about that plenty.

qdogpa - Ken Fisher’s trading record is well known and can be easily accessed - just look online.

I’m having a good year so far - up 15% and I expect to be up a lot more by the end of the year.

Yeah…what about Mark Fisher’s track record, doct?

For one of those fisher guys:[Forbes Evaluates Ken Fisher’s of Fisher Investments Stock Picking - CXO Advisory](Forbes Evaluates Ken Fisher's Stock Picking - CXO Advisory)

Yeah…you don’t know Mark’s record… ;)

I didn’t say that I did - I said that he is well respected. For all I know, he’s well respected because he loses the most money. Its irrelevant because as far as I’m concerned unless somebody is trading at the microsecond level where the boundary conditions of the mathematical models are well defined, nobody can tell where the market is going. Quite honestly, to a large degree, its irrelevant where the market is going from the standpoint of making money.

"Maybe if you have his track record, I’ll buy your stuff for 19.99 "

Before Dstark points out that I wrote the above - I was being facetious with that comment.

So things are so bad in the world that the Central Bankers will be forced to respond and the market is up because of that?

Interesting and long read on the Boston tech scene and comparisons to the Bay Area:

[Why I had it all wrong about Boston’s high-tech scene | Bootstrap - CNET News](Why I had it all wrong about Boston's high-tech scene - CNET)

The market is making all kinds of assumptions that I don’t believe: the fomc next week is going to do qe3 and somehow the other central bankers are going to rapidly respond to a crisis.

One of my BILs went to MIT and Stanford too. I’ll have to ask him which was better.

The Boston tech boom is more than just Boston and Cambridge too. It goes out until Route 495 and even reaches into NH along the major highways.

I deleted that post…i was being a pain in the a@@.

But since you mentioned it…

I think she finds Stanford more loose…maybe more creative…
And people are definitely better looking at Stanford.

Near Silicon Valley is SF…

[Tech jobs pushing north to San Francisco - San Francisco Business Times](http://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/morning_call/2012/05/tech-jobs-pushing-north-to-san-francisco.html)

Young people want to live in SF…similar to young people wanting to live in Boston…

The weather wears you down here. People look better in the spring to fall than they do in the winter.
