Since many of us have had travel problems of all shapes and sizes at different times (snow, ice, hurricanes, airport power outages, terrible road conditions, 'noreasters, fires, you name it) we’ve had lots of travel problem threads. Thought it might be helpful to have one “travel issues” thread, which might also include some of the helpful tips (eg “emergency” phone #s of some of the airlines that actually reach humans during times of high utilization) that posters have shared on past threads (but might be hard to research/find).
Hoping those with upcoming travel concerns this week will get to their destinations safely, and hoping that the winter weather won’t cause us or our kids travel challenges in the upcoming weeks like they did for many over Thanksgiving.
**Does anyone have any good contact (maybe insider) info/phone #s for the different airlines? **I had one for American that the agents gave us when we were on line and slowed in in Little Rock several years ago, but i have long since lost that # (it worked!!- got right through!!)) but I have long since lost that # (and don’t fly American all that often) but would be happy to share the “insider tip”. Had one for Southwest also, but also don’t know what I did with it.
