The Lawrenceville School

Ah. Which math are you looking to take? Algebra II?

The good news is that it’s scheduled to open for 2016-17 academic year. The bad news is you’ll have to deal with construction noise for two years.

Well, the old math building was looking a little shoddy… :slight_smile: Still liked it though.

Here are the details on the new building: http://www.lawrenceville.org/news/item/index.aspx?pageaction=ViewSinglePublic&LinkID=9526&ModuleID=76&NEWSPID=1

Lville is nearing the end of a twenty year cycle of major renovations and new construction. Next up, steam pipe (heating) system, then the Lavino Field House, then they are done.

So perfect timing… :)

Indeed!

Finished my Lang placement today. Is it necessary to fill out the entire thing? I don’t know half of it.

Wait do you know when they are scheduled to finish all renovations?

@SharingGift Love your new avatar.

@mathman it’s around 2 years, I think.

Perfect for me if i I get in next year. :P

I didn’t know this before, but it looks like you guys will have a nice new hangout place: The Bath House is converted to a student café. :)

I actually liked reading the convocation speech, which was sprinkled with some interesting tidbits of history that I hadn’t known before. My favorite passage was this:

The quote is from “The Lawrenceville Lexicon: A Compendium of All Things Lawrenceville.” It’s available at the School’s website.

Gap year cruise anyone?

That is SO cool. The Bath House, huh?

@mrnephew‌ what is the bath house?

Scroll up and there’s an explanation. But it’s basically a small, squat building in the center of campus that used to house baths (when they didn’t have in-dorm bathrooms). Now, it’s a storage center, I think, but they’re turning it into a student cafe.

Yeah, it’s pretty sweet.
