Does everyone who applied to Berkeley receive this invitation? How do they select who receives it?
If not everyone receives the invitation, is it a good sign to have received it?
If you read the bottom of the email it clearly states that receiving the invitation has no effect on admissions decisions and is not to be used as an indicator for acceptance. Receiving an invitation for the Regent’s Scholarship, however, is essentially a secured acceptance.
