I am a senior student
One of my best friend told me yesterday that he thinks I am focused only on studying. He’s right. If I keep nerd-ing like this in high school, university, and graduate school, when will I have time to actually enjoy life? I hate missing out all the fun. And I just feel like I have to draw the line between education and life
Of course, adults say, “it will be over soon.”
But that is a ********. As my grades go up, so does my greed for education+money and obsession with college admissions. The result is NO YOUTH.
So, how do you divide the line?

I think anyone that partake with CC cares a lot about education. There is nothing wrong with that. Caring about your education is caring about your future In a way, that’s caring about your life also, is it not? Guess what I am saying here is that , IMO, there is no definitive line between education and life.

Haha, sorry if the post makes no sense. It’s late and I am still on CC. I have no life, so to speak.

^agreed. I think that line is getting blurred.

Well I just got back from a New Years party at 2 AM and then finished up my college essays for Duke and Northwestern so here’s what you need to do:

Study as much as you need to in order to get the best possible grades.

Then play as hard as you can with your leftover time.

The less sleep you get, the more % of your sleep will be REM. Just keep telling yourself that haha.

Become better at time management? Accept the fact that there may be times when a social activity will be more rewarding than schoolwork? When you get to college schedule your classes as early as you can in the week, get work done early and always have a 3 day weekend?

This will go on forever, only you’ll substitute work with school. You just need to find a personal balance, and the best time to do that is while you’re still in school. What activities, for you, are more important than schoolwork? Can you accept a B+ instead of an A- if it gives you 3 extra hours on the weekend to spend time with friends? These really aren’t questions anyone can answer for you, you have to decide what your priorities are.
