no im saying the application says we get maculay and then lower is honors and then regular. was wondering how can you know if you got into the honors. not the deans scholar

Ohhh. I got the impression that the honors is for students who go there already…

its a three step application thats what i know

Ah okay. Well I haven’t gotten anything in the letters they sent me. Maybe those decisions will come out with the dean scholars one.

Dean’s Scholars is Baruch’s way of saying honors college at Baruch, but the other CUNY campuses just call it honors. And I was accepted into the honors college at City College. Found out with my rejection from Macaulay at City College. Honors program varies for each campus in terms of what they are offering you.

Hi, can someone please help me with this?

I applied for Macaulay Honors College at CUNY, and even though today is March 15, AKA decision day, I did not receive any. None from the few CUNYs i applied to. I already recieved general acceptances, but why not Macaulays? It’s already 7:30 pm.

I know my application was complete because I called a lot in January to make sure, and they said it was complete.

Does anyone know why I maybe didn’t receive any e-mails? Is there another place to look? Do they sometimes send them late?
Please help me!

Oh no - I’m so sorry you haven’t heard anything yet, purplerain. I hate that you have to wait through the weekend until you can try to call and talk to someone. My S’s Macaulay notification is also showing up on his Hunter VIP / MyChoice admissions page. Do you have a webpage set up for any of the CUNYs you put on the application? I guess S only got a webpage for Hunter, which was his first choice school. I’m not sure how the other ones work.

Did you check your e-mail junk folder? Maybe it could have ended up there??

does anyone know when will baruch tell us about deans scholarS?

I still did not get any, it’s Saturday already . My top choice is Macaulay CSI and Queens, so worried

My S recieved his acceptances to DS Baruch yesterday.

S accepted to Macaulay Brooklyn. Very excited! Still waiting on other schools before we make a final decision but its definitely a top choice!!

DD accepted OOS for Hunter. How much would it really cost her?! A lot I imagine considering only two years of housing and the cost of everything else in NYC. The link for OOS cost is broken. Any idea?

My friend got into Macaulay Hunter! Congrats to all who got accepted!

I was accepted to Macaulay at City for the Grove School of Engineering. Does anyone know about what opportunities are given to students as far as research and internships? Is it difficult to get accepted into this Honors program?

Really confused! Which would have the best chance/acceptance rate for medical school? Macaulay Brooklyn ( free), Binghamton ($15,000), or Cornell ($35,000- if he gets in!)? It’s hard to give up a free ride, but not at the expense of the rest a medical school acceptance? We are not rich, Binghamton wouldn’t break the bank for us, but I’m skeptical to take out loans for undergrad ( cornell) knowing the cost of med school these days. We’ve already disguarded lower ranked schools that cost more then cornell ( theres only so much a middle class family can pay for undergrad!! Please rank the above three

By your post, I assume that your child has been accepted to Macaulay Brooklyn and Binghamton and that he’s aiming for med-school. Let me tell you right now, if there’s one track that’s most prominent in Macaulay it’s pre-med. Macaulay consistently sends students to top med-schools (information can be found at A Biological Sciences Major From Indonesia Becomes a Research Superstar | Macaulay Honors College) so don’t worry about lack in preparation or opportunities. I’m not going to rank the schools because frankly I don’t know much about Binghamton or Cornell or what aspects of each would be most important to you and your son, but know if you choose macaulay know that it will in no way hurt his chances at going to a good med school.

(I’m a student at Macaulay CCNY)

Somekidhere, thanks for taking time to reply. as it happens, the gods have shined down on us and my S does not have to make that decision after all. He was accepted at his top choice, sophie davis at ccny! Maybe you guys will bump into each other on campus!!

Hey! I got my acceptance to grove school of engineering at city college yesterday.

anyone else anxiously waiting this year??
