Are alabamians welcome to come too?

@Hookem, you are missing out. The Houston rodeo comes every year and it is A BLAST. Taylor swift came this year and she is SMOKIN’ HOT.

@Monroylobo, no Alabamians are not welcome. This is a texas only affair.
On a side not I am going to be in Alabama for the national speech and debate tournament this year. It is a joke on the team that the black members (me and another girl) are going to get lynched, lol. Weird I do not think that I have seen many alabamians on here.

Alabama’s not that bad, haha. I’ve only had like one instance of like for real racism, most of it is weird looks(especially if you are with a white girl). Most major cities are fine. Just don’t go around rural areas of course.

My exams are over
:)

^ Hooray! :D

5 days till my berkley and northwestern decisions :)

^Good luck with those.

I originally wanted to apply to both, but couldn’t.

Two days until I’m back to school. Yay…not.
At least I’ll have something to keep my mind busy.

I can’t…

I can’t get back into this…I haven’t been here for the last…20 or so pages…

gazes up into the darkness in anguish…apologizes to Joyce

Congrats prateek! I have a ridiculous amount of homework this weekend and I don’t want to do it at all…

I wanted to apply to Berkeley and Northwestern too, but I already applied to 12 colleges and I figured that those two were too far. (Though I still should’ve applied to Berkeley)

Only ten days left until Ivy decisions are released… that’s pretty scary. At least I’ll be put out of my Duke misery this Thursday.
Can’t wait for their utmost, sincerest regrets to inform me that they were unable to offer me admission.

^ congrats :s
i think im expecting more regrets (supposedly) than you

baaah

I really don’t think that they truly regret rejecting people.
And why do they say “unable” to offer you admission? They were perfectly able, but decided not to.
Blah.

Yeah, I agree.
I mean if the hd a problem with the housing, heck i’m ready to live in a tent.

And yes they had two hands, feet, a face, a mouth and brains.
“Unable”

:/

oh mannn, 10 days.
I’m starting to stress because I just heard back from my last safety school yesterday - with a full scholarship! but, that means that I could get 6 rejections in the next 10 days from Cal and my 5 ivies. Scary thought…

i think it’s nice if a college says they were “unable” to offer you admission, because that implies that they wanted to. as in, we really liked you a lot and it was tough to let you go. It’s worse if they actually say that they “decided” not to let you in, imo

& congrats on the full scholarship, musicgal you’re already in a better position than most of us!

Yes, congrats musicgal! That’s an awesome accomplishment.
My best safety right now isn’t somewhere I’m super-excited to attend unfortunately, so you’re definitely in a great position.

irunoninsulin: I guess you’re right. Saying that they decided not to offer you admission is probably just plain mean and unnecessary. Point well taken :)

It’s kind of terrifying that decisions are coming out so soon!

You guys are mistaken I think on the attitude of the admissions offices. They aren’t lying to us: they’ve said in so many different media and so many different ways that it is really simply a matter of not having enough space for all the wonderful people who apply. The dean of admissions from one of these schools said something along the lines of “We could pick a class, throw the entire class out, and take the next class and it would be just as wonderful a group of kids. We could do this three or four times.” They really are unable to offer us a place, and it really is hard to tell kids who are awesome that they can’t come.

I ran auditions for a musical I’m directing this spring a few weeks ago, and let me tell you it is really freaking hard to tell a kid who’s great and talented and a wonderful human being that you don’t have space for them in your show, that you only have 3 spots and you have 10 actors. I imagine the adcoms feel the same way, just for 19,000 kids.

rolls eyes

I was joking guys :)

I want Spring Break to be hereeeeeeeee. Why does it seem like everyone has the Spring Break before me?

As for D-Day…I’ve stopped counting. -__- I will not think about it.Iwillnotthinkaboutit.Iwillnotthinkaboutit.Iwillnotthinkaboutit.ASFFDSASFKJL.

i know this may be a dumb question but how exactly are we finding out?
