YES! No one I know in real life has heard of Soul Coughing, but Ruby Vroom is one of my favorite albums!

Haha in terms of songs, “Mr. Blue Sky” from Electric light orchestra is totally my song of the day on the 31st… going way back to the 80’s, but if you listen to that song, you can’t help but feel good.

Some others–

“No Rain” - Blind Melon
“Everything in Its Right Place” - Radiohead
“Sometimes” - My Bloody Valentine
“Where Is My Mind?” - Pixies
“Violence” - Low
“Wop-a-Din-Din” - Red House Painters

To name a few… ;)

^ Excellent! Love love love My Bloody Valentine, Radiohead, Pixies and Blind Melon.

I’ve heard a couple of Red House Painters songs, but “Summer Dress” (?) is the only one I truly warmed up to.

I’m going through a Sunset Rubdown phase at the moment.

@No2EULA - if that’s the notecard blog that I used to read frequently, you get major awesomepoints.

Haha I’ll give him/her major awesomepoints for finding it… and crushing my delicate, indie sensibility :P

@IndiaRubber - I know exactly what you mean. Haha it’s good to find kindred spirits on CC. Some higher power is telling me we’re meant to end up here… but statistics are telling it to shut up.

I’ve been on a ****gaze kick recently (Wavves, Times New Viking, etc.) “No Hope Kids” is gonna be my Tuesday song.

^ Haha! Did you write “Sh_itgaze” instead of “Shoegaze”?

Yes, but that’s actually what it’s called – Google it.

Wow, I’m surprised I’ve actually heard of most of the artists mentioned here. Anyone here listen to The Unicorns, Ted Leo, or Broken Social Scene?

^Yes, yes, and yes, though not so much Ted Leo as the others.

heh. “Apocalypse Please” by Muse will probably be my theme song on Tuesday.

"And it’s time we saw a miracle
Come on it’s time for something biblical
To pull us through
And pull us through

And this is the end, the end
This is the end
Of the Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorld"

I saw Broken Social Scene two Novembers ago in Philly. They put on a great show. Haha and I was hooked on Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone? for a few months… before I realized they’d broken up when I was 12 :P

aaah I didn’t know ANY of those songs
Now I have to go download them all off mininova to see if your tastes are any good :)

oh wait, I know muse :)

I love muse :)

Haha. Almost simultaneous post.

yep, but I was first, HAHAHA ;-)

****-sound-quality Shoegaze, eh?

As for BSC, Anthemsfor a 17-year-old girl is a beautiful song.

hmmm…
about Tuesday, I think that after I’ll see I’m rejected (optimistic much lately, huh?), I’ll do the Baseketball’s “Happy Dance” with the same enthusiasm as in the movie (which is NONE)
