The Magical ( and somewhat Official) Yale RD Countdown Thread

I would just like to interject with the anecdote that Broken Social Scene is indeed a Canadian band. Hahaha.

Go Canada!!! woot
it’s too bad the only Canadian band i can think of that i like is Protest the Hero

City and Colour is also Canadian :)

Three days grace is canadian…

How’s everyone feeling?
2 days 2 hours and 16 minutes…

As if we didn’t all have our own personal countdowns in our heads, theGrand  I swear, when I look at clocks, I no longer see the time, I just see the countdown to 11pm 31. March… :(

Arcade Fire are also Canadian!

EDIT: Sev1991, go on msn!

^ and are also geniuses haha.

The pessimism/optimism meter is decidedly in pessimistic zone. 2 days until I get rejected from my 1,2,3, and 4thh choice schools. Yay. (Assuming the Gtown letter shows up Tuesday)

^ My optimism levels are entirely too high right now. Acceptance packages from Duke and Vandy (Duke’s had a bumper sticker!) showing up in my mailbox yesterday did not help haha

butternut - I’m with you…
although I have communicatio/philosophy double major here in Israel to fall back on
I’m a total pessimist these days but I want to get in so bad!!!

^^ Bumper sticker? Niiiice!

^i’m expecting only rejections too :/

Arcade fire are awesome

Hahaha. Three people at once.

uggggghhh…arcade fire bleck

^ bleck? BLECK??!! How dare you! Have you ever seen them live? They are musical prodigies, man haha

and yep, Butternut, it was pretty schweeet  The folder was really nice and glossy, too, with a big gold seal with my name and “Class of 2013” stamped on the front.

I used to be really hot on Arcade Fire, but they’ve grown cold on me over the last year.

I agree with Hookem, I can’t help but be excited. I have yet to be rejected anywhere, and even though my acceptances are from schools nowhere near as selective as Yale, I can’t help envisioning a victory. Oh well. And YES Arcade Fire.

I’ve seen arcade fire, they’re from my hometown, and half the population seems to think they’re the second coming or something. they’re not a terrible band, but the i’m sick of the near endless coverage.
plus i’m not into indie at all lol

“Indie” is barely a genre. They’re wonderful to see live, at night.
