You can do it Happymomof1.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Again, here, not there.

No yard work today because a) we have a graduation party to attend and b) prepping to plant along the side of the shed I found coaxial cable buried abot three inches down and have to call the utilities to find out what it might be. Sigh.

not dredging up past posts to beat OP over the head with them - she already knows her status - no need to point it out to be clever or have a public “gotcha” moment

MaineLonghorn et al – how do you do the “blocking” thing? I too want to ignore certain posters. I bet we all want to block the same ones! Maybe we should have an unpopularity contest and name them!

I hear wellbutrin has pretty good anti-addiction effects in general, not just smoking, because of the way it affects the dopaminergic pathways – you could use it as a drug cessation aid. It certainly weaned me off many unproductive activities.

I’m finding that The Okra Thread has a positive affect on my “dopaminergic pathways” :)

I just spent 20 minutes writing a point by point argument about the post office. I decided to come here instead of posting it. I just don’t have the time or energy to fight with Xiggi today.

Love you methadone thread!

OK, I have rewritten 5 different responses to the same insulting post that is eating at me. In the meantime I have gone to a car wash, cooked chicken and cleaned a bathroom. Thank you methadone thread, though I may need to pick a fight with someone on a post soon. Methadone thread is all that is preventing me from getting banned.

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

In case you haven’t found it and want to use it, CC has an “ignore” feature. Click “My Control Panel” at the top left, then under “Settings & Options” click “Edit Ignore List” and there you can add as many Member names as you want.

-vonlost

Oh, but then we might miss something really good!

And, as usual, here not there. But boy that ttcnbn is truly annoying!

Just thinking that an “ignore thread” feature might be nice. There are only a few posters I’d like to ignore, while there are so many topics that I’ve learned are just not worth getting upset about. If I couldn’t see the thread at all, I’d be happy in my fool’s paradise.

Right now I’m here because I’m trying not to point out to another poster that she keeps creating her own problems.

Without drama what would we have to talk about?
Okra?
;)

It’s “mucilaginous” yet people still eat it by choice. You just have to figure that they have their reasons and move on . . . each to his/her own if it doesn’t hurt anyone. And . . . by suspending disbelief for a bit one can learn some really interesting things about growth, adding tomato, warm vs cool season dishes and to cut or not to cut. It’s a wonderful lesson in open-mindedness and not feeling the need to stake out a serious, fight to the death position when one has “no dog in the race.”

In other words, The Okra Thread is great training for navigating life out in the big, bad world of CC!! :)

Ignore thread might be a good idea. I generally don’t find most posters too annoying, it is just this particular discussion is rubbing me wrong.

oops! just checked new TTCNBN! I wonder if I stuffed some okra into a flat rate box would it get to the outskirts of Mud Butte, SD in two days or less? If coyotes sniffed out the box and stole it from the back of rural route station wagon would it be trackable? What if the lady left it in the box at the end of the 3 mile “driveway” and then the coyotes stole it from there? If they stole it would they find it to be mucilaginous and return it to sender? Oops - just had to delete 2 sentences from my own methadone post - I will ignore that thread all together because there’s no way to discuss it at this point w/o veering into the political.

I wonder if you take a discussion that has become mucilaginous and add tomato will it cut the slime? ;)

:D Great line! And certainly worth trying (though I’m not optimistic).

I think I just need to ignore that thread for a while. I have nothing to add to the okra thread, except possibly tomato ;)

delete and move on . . .

Here rather than there. Yay!
