The OC

How difficult is it to navigate through the Open Curriculum without losing focus, and still end up where you want to be?

it depends on the kind of person you are. some people are very focussed from the get-go and use the open curriculum to triple major. others (like me) get lossed several times over, but learn valuable lessons along the way and end up in a great place nonetheless. there are also many resources and advisors to help you out

i chose neuroscience as my concentration as late as possible after trying out everything from biomedical ethics to international relations. i still ended up doing research with a nobel laureate and publishing my senior thesis in a national scientific journal.

dcircle, did you entered Brown as a PLME student? if so, how does/did the OC affect the classes you took as a premed student? How does Brown’s grading policy influence students’ motivation, interests, etc., and also how do grad schools evaluate Brown students’ grades?
