The *Official* 2009 AP World History Thread

The DBQ was apparently on nearly identical topics for world, U.S., and euro. Anyway, my thoughts:

MC = extremely easy, although I skipped 5 or 6
DBQ = terrible documents to use (there was almost nothing with a major bias)
CCOT = easy
CC = awful, awful essay

lol braveone1001 welcome?

Yeah the CC essay was downright aweful. I mean seriously? how does that demonstrate anything… except for being able to bs.

Hey did anyone take the form B exam that they offer to international students? wonder what the essay questions were

I didn’t even have a conclusion for my CC. I had 15 minutes left, but I seriously had nothing else to write. I’m pretty sure at least half of my essay is false.

MC was really easy, though there were a few random terms I wasn’t sure of… A few of the questions I seriously wondered how they put on the test they were so easy…

I hated the essay topics… compared to all the practice ones I looked at they were tougher… but DBQ’s are always easy, and I managed to come up with some facts and write 17 pages… Time to go ice my hand

nooo are u serious??? i thought there was a form B and a form A

Let’s just say, I should’ve reviewed and got more practice on my essays…because the boredom factor was crucial and I fell asleep for like 20 minutes…LOL. Oh well, I tend to fall asleep during tests.

MC = complete joke IMO, DBQ = easy, the other two were a little iffy for me since by then I was losing concentration and falling asleep, but I’d say Compare/Contrast was a lot easier than Change/Continuity.

I don’t think I can talk about specifics yet.

MC = i probably got around 45 right, basic guess.
DBQ = 9, for sure. lol
CCOT = i THINK i did really well, but this is really biased XD
CC = kinda hard. a lot of people who took the test in my class thought it said ‘RADICAL’ instead of the word it really said (am i allowed to say that word? im not sure what we can say/not say)

The sad irony with my MC is that yesterday, my teacher gave us a last minute packet to help review for the pictures. The very first thing on the packet happened to be on the test. And I still got it wrong

Exactly my sentiments, except the panic part. I never ever panic or get remotely nervous for any tests…even if I know absolutely nothing, I’m really chill and just say “Whatever I’ll bs this or something and beast it out” or something like that.

It’s weird.

But GL guys…I think MC curve’s going to be high lol

lobsterquiche, haha! there was a picture on the test that was in my actual textbook, and i still got it wrong too. i remembered where exactly on the page it was, what it was talking about underneath, and i bubbled in that answer. too bad i learned later that the picture coincided what was discussed on the previous page. (and i remembered what was on that page too! i was really really good on that chapter, photographic memory much? haha)

invoyable: yeah, im REALLY worried about the MC. i did pretty well and i was excited by that, but it seems that everybody else did well too :confused: same for the dbq. aghhhhh. hopefully everybody on here is in the group of SMART people, so thats why we all did so well P:

yeah, I’m definitely aiming for a 5 on this one.

meh, as for pictures, we barely practiced any so…I just logically deduced one when I was down to 2 choices for virtually all pictures, but I’m not certain.

And I might’ve made a couple dumb mistakes because I finished really early and didn’t check my answers, but oh well lol. Hopefully we did well.

i can tell you for sure i made a few stupid mistakes. i ended up not sleeping well last night and so once i was done with MC i just put my head down and relaxed to get ready for essays

@Cutaholeinabox. i know…i was just letting you know that theres no need to overstudy considering that you can get a 4 without studying at all. i just hated world history so i avoided it altogether

one thing that i was really hoping for was this: because of the economic regression, many students would be taking on part time jobs. this would give them less time to study, and therefore they’d do worse on the test. therefore id do better :)

i dont think its really that accurate though XD

Can anyone answer my question of what you would get if you skipped one essay question?

That’s a good point though. How likely is it that non-CC kids considered the test hard? You know, like the ones who just took the test so they didn’t have to take a final and don’t care if they get a 1…

Depends on other factors…I’m not sure about the curve this year, but I don’t even know how the curve works generally…might check later.
If everything else is truly solid, like tops, a 5 is possible (i’ve seen it happen quite a few times; infact one guy I know, skipped two essays but got 9 on other one and 100% on MC or something like that and got a 5)

And yeah…MC was decent, but looking back, considering how I finished literally in 20 minutes…um.
