@2014drew Yes! this is exactly what i needed, thanks!

I need help with housing!! I’m very lost as to how it works. Do you pay for meal plans separate from the room? If so, are the rates posted on UCLA websites only for the room? because it says meal plans? SO i’m just 1000% confused as to how the whole paying for housing works and what the total cost is. Btw i’m specifically looking to house in Gardenia. can someone please help me out!!???

Well, I just submitted my SIR to UCLA. I hope everything turn out well and I don’t flunk out.

http://map.ais.ucla.edu/go/1005183

Meal plans are part of the room.

@sonic23

I’d have to drive 55 miles from my place to get to UCLA

I am considering dorming, but I’ll have to see what room I get first.

@Burntcorpse Im hoping i get family housing my backup plan is to see if with loans I can afford rent somewhere near. Only because those freeways are crazy

i have a question about transcripts? so i sent my transcripts to UCLA (which i believe are due by june 1st up to the fall semester) and on my ucla acc thing, it says that they have received a preliminary transcript but they still require a final transcript. so does that mean that they got my first transcript with up to fall, and after spring grades come out they need to send me a new one? or do i need to send a new one completely for fall cause i sent it online, which i was kind sketchy about but did it anyways cause i would be alot faster than mail.

@Bookham

Did you call them?

@Bookham - it means they have thru fall, but they won’t be final until they have Spring transcripts. Those are due by July 15.

To any one who already SIR’d here, do u guys mind telling me how much is your deposit?? Why mine is 100 dollars?!

@TT4UCOSBEL I didn’t have to pay a single cent

@collegedropout1 gosh, does it have anything to do with my residency status??? I am an international student…

@TT4UCOSBEL I think it has to do more with the fact the I’m poor AND a California resident.

For anyone who didn’t have the fee waived, the deposit is $100. I didn’t have to pay it, but I’m sure why mine was waived.

How do we check that UCLA got the transcript(s) through fall?

Go into MyUCLA, click AP/SAT scores and transcripts. Under college transcripts, it should say “A preliminary transcript has been received from XXXXX . A final transcript is still required.”

@Zalrons you go to your My UCLA. then go to My UCLA Features. There’s a tab for AP Scores and transcripts. Once you click there, you can see which transcripts they received and which ones they have not.

@k4201505, @2016candles, thanks!
Edit: so once the transcripts are received the boxes next to the Ets code gets checked? I had mine sent last week should I be worried they haven’t been officially received yet? I guess it takes 2+ weeks?

Anyways, I’m super excited for next fall. Everone on the boards should meet up in October!

If there’s a check in the box, you’re good, and nothing else is required. If there’s a red “X”, that means they don’t need it. And if there’s a red “!”, then they’ve received what you sent, but they need spring grades.

Thanks candles. The boxes next to the Ets code haven’t been checked yet but I ordered them last week so maybe that’s why!
