The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

RT was built in 2006 and looks great. My friend was in RT this year and I actually toured it already. I had no idea I’d actually get it  rendezvous is on the first floor and it’s really good.

So I am thinking of taking a summer class and just driving every morning (it’s twice a week). Is anyone else pre Biz Econ? I haven’t seen anybody on here…

I’m not sure whether I should stay with my friend in his off campus apartment or stay in Rieber Terrace with two oter students. If I stay with my friend, I won’t have a room, so I will have to sleep in the living room. Tough choice.

@CollegeDropout1‌ - that living room situation will get really old really fast. By week 4, you will be kicking yourself for not getting housing. On campus housing isn’t private, but it’s more private than living in the living room. Plus you’ll meet people faster living on campus.

CollegeDropout1, are you going to UCSD since you got accepted now? I think I read not too long ago that you would prefer SD to LA.

@2016Candles I thought about that, but the thought of living with strangers doesn’t really thrill me. I could get roomed with really annoying people.

@K4201505 I prefer UCLA over UCSD, but I like my major better at UCSD.

^^^ They might be annoying,or they might be cool as hell. It’s 50/50. There’s a 99% chance you’ll be sick of living room living. IJS

I could not have declined that housing offer any faster. 4 people, 2 bedrooms, no thanks.

So are you going to commute or look for off-campus housing, RamonaFalls?

Got a triple in Rieber Terrace w/ shared bath…nowhere on my app did I put triple. If anyone has a single and want to trade, or even maybe a double, anywhere I’d love to switch. Duly disappointed, as I turned in my app right away. I really wanted to get a university apartment…

@cochoa14‌

A triple.

I just saw someone post this on the FB transfer page. He says it’s the best ways to change your housing assignments.

“you need to do a CAR to get a new assignment- if you reject your first offer, that kicks you out of housing completely. And once the school year starts, there will be an open room swap event that’s separate from the CAR process, which is another opportunity to switch your assignment.”

I got a double in Sproul Landing/Cove does anyone know if more freshman or transfers live here cuz i put transfer theme as my first choice but it does not say anywhere that i got into the themed community.

Anyone want to switch with me? I have a triple in De Neve Plaza, but want a double in De Neve Plaza.

In a triple at Rieber Terrace, maybe I’ll see some of you folks there!

Probably commute. It’s the only way I can find a decent studio or 1BR within my price range.

I got a triple in De Neve/ Holly  pretty happy about my offer. Now I just gotta figure out how I’m going to get that kind of money… :-S

Got a triple in Rieber Terrace. I’m actually fine with the assignment, now i’m debating over 19P and 14P.

Did anyone else accept their offer? It looked like we were supposed to sign something online and now I can’t find the page anymore lol. Also, it looks like the initial payment is scheduled for or by 6/24/2014. Do we use BruinBill to pay this or were we able to pay this today when we accepted the offer?

when will we know who our roomate is…?
