As a history major, I am keeping my eye on some of the classes I need on the registrar. I have to enter as a pre- and take a few courses before it is a “full time major”.

The UCLA History department states , “Required for the pre-major: Three courses including two Western Civilization (History 1A, 1B, 1C) or two in World History (History 20, 21, 22); and History 97 (or 96W).”

I had a question though.

When I look at History 97 for example, it states.

GE Status: Not a GE course
Units: 4.0
Grading Detail: Letter grade or Passed/Not Passed

But when I look at History 1A it states.

Units: 0.0
Grading Detail: Letter grade or Passed/Not Passed

Is this just an error? Because 1 states it’s a 4 Unit course, the other states 0. History 20 also states 0 units… While history 96 and 97 show as 5 and 4 unit courses.

Are some pre courses basically worth no units?

@2016Candles They told me to go to UCSD to major in CS. I really just wanted to go to UCLA for stupid reasons. Plus I have a good back up major at UCSD, economics. I can’t say that about UCLA.

HAHA, just kidding! I Still want to go to UCLA. The fear that @BurntCorpse put in me has worn off. I don’t know if it is wise to ignore his warning though. I still have not decided whether or not I should make the late payment for my dorm.

I completed my classes a couple of weeks ago, and I worried that I might get too many C’s in them and face the possibility of getting my admission rescinded.

I just looked at my grades several hours ago, and I didn’t get any C’s this semester. Just A’s and B’s. I won’t get rescinded after all! I’ll definitely be able to attend UCLA this fall!

Hey everyone! The second payment for housing is up. Also, I had my final transcript sent last week and they confirmed it just today so that’s likely up for ya’ll as well.

I had my CC send my final transcript with IGETC like a month ago and UCLA still hasn’t marked it as received. Worst part is you can’t even get IGETC online so I’m going to have to go to the school tomorrow to make sure they even sent it. I thought I had set foot on campus for the last time but I guess I’ll have to go back :/
