just got my eFAN. Didn’t get an e-mail, I just checked my awards and there it was. Pretty decent. All tuition paid, plus pell grant.

Got mine too. ^_^

Got mine I only got blue and gold for my tuition and loans. Kind of makes me sad because all the other schools had given me huge grants. But dam it ucla is my dream school lol. At least I got my tuition paid for. :)

Still haven’t decided how many loans to take out.

Did you apply for any UCLA or outside scholarships? I applied for a UCLA scholarship, but I won’t know if I get it or not til late August.

@2016candles I applied for a bunch of outside scholarships but haven’t gotten any. No really counting on it, I have been saving a little money here and there hoping to not borrow as much

I applied for the old-azz student scholarship at UCLA. They give out several, but I have no idea how competitive it is. I also haven’t gotten any outside ones.

@2016candles hopefully you get lucky, I wish I could have applied I was too young by 1 year!!

@sonic23 You can apply next year :-)

If I don’t take out any loans my first two years, and I need too stay and extra year, will those loans still be available to me?

@CollegeDropout1
You should still be eligible for the same annual amount. But you don’t get the total amount of loans you didn’t take. What I mean is, if you qualify for $10k/ year in loans, in your 3rd year you would still be eligible for $10k, but the $10k from years 1 & 2 are gone.

@RamonaFalls @sonic23

I just checked to see if my eFAN was available since you guys said it was for you—and it is! Since I’m poor as ****, I’m getting the maximum amount of financial aid available to me. :D

How come I still haven’t gotten my eFAN?

@Cayton yeah I got a lot of aid. My tuition is paid but I’ll still need to take out some loans since this summer has shown me that I really can’t work and attend UCLA at the same time. Right now, one lone class is kicking my ass. Can’t imagine 3-4 during a quarter so I’ll take out loans right now and let future me worry about paying back

@RamonaFalls

Well, to be fair, summer classes go much faster and are more difficult because of it. If you take 3 classes in the Fall quarter(Try not to take more than that), and work, it should be manageable as long as you know how to spend your time wisely.

@CollegeDropout1

Didn’t you retract your SIR from UCLA???

@Cayton I wussied out! I had nightmares about UCSD!

@CollegeDropout1

What were the nightmares? o.o

@ocnative It was my first day at UCSD, and then a monster started stalking me. I kept trying to outrun it, but the UCSD campus turned into a maze. I could not find a way, no matter how hard I tried. I tried to ask people if there was away out, but when I approached them, they would disappear. I woke up sweating, hahaha.

@CollegeDropout1

Oh, Jesus.

I’m done with you.

@Cayton HAHAHA What is that supposed to me? Anyway, I have to decide me Monday, so I all of this will be over soon!

@CollegeDropout1

You seem to change your mind every 5 hours or something. That’s what it looks like from here, anyway. Indecisiveness is not a virtue. It’s a vice.

And I’m not sure it will be over by Monday. It seems like you’ll just keep second-guessing your decisions even after that day. Just sayin’.
