I think UCLA should have a mandatory etiquette class like they do for alcohol awareness and sexual assault prevention. I can’t believe the amount of students who lack common decency in my summer classes. For example, there was this one kid who propped his legs on his chair (his knees were chest level), and to make matters extremely worse, he wore shorts so the poor girl next to him had hairy legs right next to her face for the entire 3 hour lecture.

Do you know how disgusting this is? I was in the seat behind him and to the right, and this poor girl had sweaty, slimy, hairy legs right next to her for three long hours.

This isn’t just one kid too. There’s another kid who was wearing a tank top, and kept stretching his arms every 5 seconds so his sweaty pits was about to graze/smear another poor girl’s face.

Don’t even get me started on the skirt scratcher. You’d think it’s hot seeing a girl scratch her inner thigh, but no. This is summer, it’s 90 degrees, the AC is out, and you’re left having to endure what is the beginning of a m. night shamaladingdong horror flick.

Are you in a lecture hall or class? Sounds like a lecture hall if ppl are that close. The girls are too hesitant to say anything but they need to step up.

@BurntCorpse that’s gross I would move ASAP or just tell them something. I’ve had to move seats twice during summer at cc because people go sick and it’s gross they don’t know how to cover there mouths. And germs freak me out. I recently moved because a student said her child had to stay home from daycare because he had a virus… So I moved because I’m that paranoid about getting sick. Don’t judge me
But if I were those girls I would have At least made it obvious that I was disgusted and if they didn’t stop I would say something. It’s just having respect for people

Sounds like my CC. There used to be a guy in the class that would come from some type of working out soaked in sweat, and like clockwork would open up some tupperware with some sort of fish in it and start eating every single class. It would smell up the whole room and mix with his BO. Eventually he stopped showing up.

@lindyk8 I’m also getting weird times and dates. I guess CC’s development team had a rough day. No, I picked UCSD that is why my family wants to move

Oh, that’s too bad you won’t be at my honorary alma mater (via my daughter). I feel like I know all of you, so even though I will never meet any of you, I liked the idea of you all together in one place. However UCSD is stellar - and I kind of think that was where you really wanted yo go deep down. I hope you have a major decided. PLEASE GOD, SAY YOU DO! :(( B-)

@Lindyk8 Yes, it hurts a lot that I am not going to UCLA. My family really wanted to go there. I really wanted to go there, but in the end, I knew that UCSD was best in the long run. Sometimes, I regret turning down UCLA. I felt really bad after I turned down their admission offer. Yeah, I feel like I personally know some of the regulars on here, which made it harder to turn down UCLA. Hahaha, I do have a major picked out, computer science. That is why I picked UCSD over UCLA.

@collegedropout1 things always turn out for the best. I feel UCSD is the place you were meant to be, and it’s the major you really wanted. And who knows, maybe everyone up here, in reality, are a bunch of weirdos (present company excluded!).

Thanks @BurntCorpse , this line made me spit cereal all over my desk. If your major doesn’t work out, I’d say try writing ;)

hey guys, how do you check if UCLA admissions received your IGETC certification? thanks!

@Collegedropout1, it’s good that you made your decision!

To be honest, I wish I had that extra time when deciding. I still have qualms about picking UCLA, and even slightly considered staying at cc again for another year ahaha…

Reapply again for what school though? You got into UCLA and UCSD, is there another school you’d rather go to than those 2 that you didn’t apply to or get into?

@Cayton No it’s not. For the beginning of this whole process, staying an extra year was always an option for me. Plus, deciding between UCLA, UCSD and staying another year were my only options. You’re acting like I’m laying out a plan for the white house!
