The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

You called me a bruin hater @2016candles but since the first rule of Bruindom is that everything must rhyme (bearwear, true bruin) I suggest I am a gloom-bruin, or maybe someone has something better. b-(

But I’m not really… :)

@lindyk8 Probably loves UCLA more than Berkeley, judging by the time she spends on this thread as opposed to the Berkeley thread. :)

A boo’in bruin?

I wouldn’t go that far cayton! I’m sure Cal will always be her first love. Unless she goes for a masters at UCLA :smiley:

Actually, I do like UCLA better. It’s not that I don’t love Berkeley and am proud if it, but in general I relate more to UCLA for a number of reasons. I also lived in LA for several years and recall it fondly.

Yeah and there are a lot of boo-in’ Bruins over on that Berkeley thread (h/t @luckie1367)

Wow! I like you even more now!! :x

@lindyk8‌

Really? Interesting.

I don’t know how you can think of your LA experience as fond since we have the worst traffic in the country, though. :P

Anybody going to do a MWF course? I am somewhat on the fence, probably a no is more likely, I do not want to be in class 5 days a week. But the professor appears to be interesting.

@Tik1127‌
Hells no! Ain’t nobody that interesting :stuck_out_tongue:

I only have classes on Monday and Wednesday. If I add my 4th class that’ll be on Tuesdays, so either way it’s no more than 3 days a week of classes.

I thought you knew that candles ! :))

Taking 3 courses in one day? Courageous! I am going to likely take 2 one day and 1 the following. I don’t mind going 4 days a week, 5 was pushing it.

It’s not courageous. You gotta remember I come from a different point of view from most UGrads. Right now I work 5 days a week all day, and have for eons. Classes all day for 2 days is like vacay!

Four is my limit no i like to keep it mon-thru max. I used to do mon-saturday at cc never again

@Tik1127‌

My greek history course is MWF. :(

Thank God I’m not commuting.

Hey y’all, are we able to register for classes if we have not completed “Think About It”? Also, can we take our photo for the bruin card at orientation, or is that not possible to do on campus at the ungodly hour of 7:30am? Finally, laptops for orientation, yay or nay? I have orientation tomorrow, and I am clearly not prepared. Thanks guys.

You can register for classes without having done “Think About it.” I didn’t do it, and I was able to get my classes. Be aware that the deadline to complete it is October 1st, though.

You can have your photo taken for your bruin card at orientation. Many first-time students do.

If you have a laptop, you should bring it. I did, and it made registering for classes more convenient.

I know I asked you this before, but what were you taking again? I believe you said a 97 course or so, if I was not mistaken I have zeroed on HIST 126, Hist 146 and History 114A. I know I can’t take all 3, but Urdank, Higbie and Langdon seem to be quite fair. For an elective, I wanted to take Geog with Agnew, but that filled up. I thought about looking at Chicano Studies, but I took a few chicano studies course at my CC, and I passed with an A’s but now looking elsewhere. Maybe Music History. Who knows…

@tinydancer13, if I recall correctly, you’re a communications major. My daughter is too and already registered. Good luck!

@Tik1127 9 ancient jewish history and Scandinavian elective

Find any elective that sounds fun n fits your schedule

I originally wanted yo take a lower divison italian film class but they kept insisting we didnt.

Student advisors said lower diviosn classes wont help us towards graduation
