The Official Fall 2014 UCLA Transfer Decisions Thread

Haha my daughter was just talking about this. Since everything closes around 4, I’m betting then :smiley:

assignments are up!

@24luke16, where do we check?

https://housing..edu/my-housing/moving-in/moving-into-on-campus-housing and just click on the link

@24luke16, thanks a lot :)

Of course, the website is moving at a snail’s pace right now haha

I wonder if any of you will be one of my roommates. :)

I’m in Rieber Terrace, room 258B.

I guess that means second floor…cayton

Does anyone know what the earliest check-in time is? My daughter got 10:30 on Friday.

Just curious, Lindy, why do you post in here for your daughter? I mean, why doesn’t she do it herself?

@lindyk8‌

lol, I’m guessing that, too.

And the absolute earliest check-in time is Thursday, Sept. 25th at 8:00 AM. You can change your daughter’s time to that if you want.

I got the 8:30 AM slot on that day, and I’m going to change it soon…I’m not a morning person.

But Cayton isn’t it better to try and get in early for bunk choice, etc? Maybe you should keep yours…

We’re not getting to LA until the weekend.

Ditto to @lindyk8‌ @Cayton‌
This is one day you don’t want to sleep in. Get in early, stake your claim!

I tried looking up my roomates. I couldn’t find one and the other seems to already be a student. I think I got Holly too…the room number starts with an “H”.

People seem very **tchy though on Facebook. “I didn’t get exactly what I wanted!!! WAHHH”

Yeah, if your room starts with H, you got Holly. Dunno why they have to group Gardenia/Holly together like that.

It’s useful to check out your floor plan and see if you have more guys or gals on your side :)

I wasn’t too concerned about the whole transfer thing, but it would’ve been cool. Hopefully my roommates are alright. Everyone seems like think they should’ve all gotten singles in the transfer experience or whatever lol.

I was considering maybe switching to an apartment to save money, but I don’t think it is much cheaper, and you end up paying for meals. I guess we will see.

@2016Candles‌ @lindyk8‌

Eh, I don’t care about bunk choices. The weekend is more convenient for me to move in anyway.

Any other reason I should move in ASAP? :P

Again, with my OCD I would be racing there at 6am on Thursday. My daughter, like you cayton, doesn’t care about top or bottom bunk. Also I later realized I secured hotels for Thursday so probably would not be able to find anything for Wed.

I must say getting roomates is a huge step. To quote my younger daughter: sh*t gets real.

Can we just drop our stuff off and leave? I’ll probably go back home and show up a few days later. I have the second earliest move in on the 25. I don’t know how the bunk really matters or which one is “better”.
