The Official M10 2024 Freakout Thread

I took the test I got ENTP, INFJ, ENTJ, and INTJ for it. What does this mean??

you have to go off of the actual cognitive functions now! the tests are always a good start but now you have to go onto a separate website that i forgot the name of and try and see which type fits you best based off of the functions that are there. considering that both entj and intj were suggested for you, you’re likely a gamma which is a subgroup (intj entj esfp isfp) but you def have to dig a little further!

Oh no! I closed the tab already.

I remember that my ‘introverted intuition’ was strongest’. I took it twice and got completely different results. First, INFJ. Second, ENTJ.

do u think i could pm u? sorry i have a bunch of resources and i dont wanna flood the thread lol

I will message you!

lets move on from the random mbti talk lol :joy::joy:

I agree

I guess we should be grateful that schools are not requesting us to complete this assessment. It would be interesting, but it would also invite widespread gaming.

Well there’s the SSAT character skills snapshot. PA says they may look at it post M10.

Opinions, please. My son applied to four super-highly competitive schools. He applied to one of these only last-minute and by the time he did, he had missed the opportunity to nab an interview slot. The admissions website interview-scheduler page said all slots had been taken, sorry. However, last week – 10 days after sending in his application – he got an email from this school asking him to interview, and he did one within 24 hours. Does this seem meaningful, like an expression of interest, or are we reading too much into it?

On PEA portal they have a new item Application complete- verify your information in red. It is to update the contact info.

Are there resources that provide actual number admired vs class size - I.e. if one is trying to infer acceptance odds accounting for yield. I find many schools unwilling to give anything resembling a direct answer. For those below the top tier, do people think that is because they wish to appear even more competitive than they are?

Reading to much into it.

If a student is in Coach list and was recommended to Admissions team based on his statistics etc. Does it help with admissions process to boost or increase the chances for acceptance? not sure how much the Athletic recruiting is applicable for boarding schools unlike College recruitment process.

It definitely does help to have a coach advocate for you in admissions- arguably helps more in BS than in college.

Have a coach’s support is very helpful, especially if it’s a school that values sports like most of the Div. I boarding schools. DS is a senior at such a school and was courted by the coaches and accepted at the two BS that he applied. It is very much like college recruiting.

Advocation in general helps a lot in admissions, whether it be in sports, arts, department teacher, or from your interviewer.

Thats great to hear! Good luck!
