I stayed on most waitlists for a day, then enrolled at Taft, it was just a decision me and my parents made, I was in the same boat as you haha

Omg, would your family be able to afford that? And if not its okay it just proves that you technically got accepted if money was involved.

Same here!
My dd’s interviewer directly asked my dd during the interview if our family can withdraw/not filing the FA.
My husband got really upset

thats so crazy. My parents never experienced that during my process

Wow that asked your daughter that? That should be a parental question…

I’m feeling a bit of imposter syndrome from these decisions…

Exactly :weary:

Me 2 as a FA applicant

Not really since they may or may not get into waitlist. Do you like your acceptance. Also there is no order on waitlist. So its random if it goes to WL among the ones who requested to be on it.

has anyone got off the choate wailtlist? i i feel like i rlly fit choate but do they put everyone on the waitlist or there still is a chance?? (STILL DELULU :frowning:

We were monitoring the interview in another room and heard the interviewer’s suggestion/question about withdrawing/not filing FA application.
Well, sad and painful fact especially for international applicants.

Well in addition someone may withdraw their fa for example so it’s not so many chance in wl

I love my acceptance, it was originally my top choice but last year I “over-applied” to schools and my applications weren’t as good as they were this year. The W/Ls from Hotchkiss and Exeter feel like achievements even though they aren’t lol.

No brainer then. Love the school!

yea that sucks, I only needed at least 20k off tuition so I am glad most schools didn’t see that as a problem. I’m so sorry that happened to you though :frowning:

I agree. Ao normally expect int sts to have “more money” and contribute more to school. Also not many scholarships for int sts too

Thank you
Actually my dd has decided not to remain on the waitlist :joy:
