I was terrified after hearing the advice that a good interview doesn’t matter that much
My interviews were probably the best part of my application
i took the day off from school one day and slept in and then couldn’t fall back asleep when i realized 2 minutes before that i had an interview.
i barely made it on time while rolling out of bed and brushing my hair (poorly)

I spent hours preparing for interviews and then literally 30 minutes on my essay

As in I started writing my essays for Andover at 11:17 PM, February 1st

I did some of mines last minute because I was so busy
i started those ones on like the 27th
i literally decided to apply on nov 28th all my essays were done in a 3 hour span on jan 13th
Does anyone care to share something about their application that they think was major?
I had a terrible math grade for Q1 this year and I explained why I had the bad grade (Terrible teacher because of a 2 million dollar teacher budget cut and the transition from MS to HS) and like all of the admissions officers and even the director of admissions at one school told me that because of my math achievements out of school, the math grade will be overlooked, but I’m worried they lied and I won’t get in because of that since everything else is fine

i got a prestigious scholarship in 2023 and i think that is going to play a decent role in my application

For my andover interview, I got so nervous that I accidentally mentioned crushes and then I got so embarassed especially because he was a middle aged man but he just laughed at that I was litterally dying inside HELP. For my exeter interview, my dad said that exeter was my first choice (it isn’t it’s his first choice lmao) and then al my interviewer said was “THAT’S nIcE” I don’t think they would lie to you they just make you question everything you sayy. Interviews were the death of me.
